Research areas in the Large-scale Flexible device Manufacturing System include Design and troubleshooting of the Roll-to-Roll system, including modeling web dynamics and control, Printing and coating technologies, Design and fabrication of flexible electronic devices and Artificial intelligence in various manufacturing systems and flexible, functional devices. To achieve the mass production of highly integrated flexible electronic devices, we study manufacturing processes, concepts, and structures of the device and artificial intelligence for fault diagnosis and optimization of the process and device. The devices of current interests are piezo-based sensor, thin-film transistor, photovoltaic, and bio-inspired microfluidic sensor.
