Application for classes
Students apply for the lectures to the school through application for attending lectures. As it is necessary for completion of curriculum and credits, and also is associated to graduation, it has to be very carefully taken. If application for attending lectures is not completed, students cannot attend lectures, and credits would not be recognized.
1. Credits of application for attending lectures
- Standard credits : 18 credits(educational college, law major, school of Arichitecture : 19 credits, the Department of Nursing Science : 21 credits, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences : 24 credits) < Curricular after 2008 >
- High-achieving students : standard credits + 3 credits(average grade must be over 3.75 for the last semester)
- The lowest application credits for each semester : 6 credits(if applied credits are less than 6 credits, application would be cancelled and students would get an official warning). But, if a student is being in school for over fixed period, he or she must attend more than 1 subject
Examination and grade evaluation
1. Examination types
- Regular examinations
- Mid-term examination : examination taken on the 8th week of each semester
- Final examination : examination taken on the last week of each semester
- Special examination : examination taken whenever instructors require.
- Supplementary examination : When a student has proper reasons to be absent for the examination, supplementary examination can be taken by the permission of instructors.
2. Grade evaluation
- Grade evaluation must be relative evaluation according to clause 2 of article 49 by SCNU school regulation.
- Grade classification is divided into 9(A+~F) in relative evaluation

Graduation
1. Condition of graduation
- Condition of regular graduation : Completion of fixed period
(4 years, 5 years for architecture department), graduation credits(for each department and major), classified credits according to curriculum. Graduation examination, thesis, or reports must be passed, and condition of graduation certification must be completed. - Condition of early graduation : Complete more than 6 semesters and all courses needed for graduation. Graduation thesis must be passed, and average grade must be over 4.25.

2. Graduation time
- First term graduates : 25th Feb each year
- Second term graduates : 25th Aug each year
