The fundamental purpose of the Department of Environmental Education is to nurture competent educators through the acquisition of broad major knowledge in natural sciences and humanities/social sciences related to the environment and cultivation of various teaching methods.
- Cultivate qualifications as environmental educators by acquiring comprehensive knowledge of the ecosystem and establishing correct values
- Cultivate environmental teachers and environmental education experts who can contribute to the prevention and treatment of environmental pollution by acquiring natural scientific knowledge of environmental pollution
- Cultivate the ability to evaluate reasonably and truthfully the geographical, sociological, and economic impacts of the environment
- Cultivate the ability to develop and research various textbooks and teaching methods for effective environmental education
- Cultivate the ability to play a role in raising the environmental awareness of the people by enlightening them on methods of improving environmental awareness and environmental conservation
