ȨEducationUndergraduateCollege of Life Science and Industry
The College of Bioindustry Science aims to nurture competent professionals with problem-solving and field understanding skills necessary for the development of the 21st-century bio industry and advanced agriculture and studies the scientific development and advancement of agricultural production, development of cutting-edge agricultural science and technology, and efficient use of agricultural resources.
In addition, in relation to life sciences, we produce talents who will professionally perform research functions in modern biology and nurture professional manpower who will contribute to the improvement of productivity of biological resources, conservation of the environment, and development of the biological industry.
We started with the Department of Agricultural Mechanical Engineering; as the subject of study expanded and the fields of employment that required graduates of our department expanded throughout the industry, actively responding to the needs of society, however, the name of the department was changed from academic year 2004 to the Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering, and the number of admissions was reduced so that education can be more fulfilling. Industrial mechanical engineering includes the following: fluid machinery such as pumps, blowers, and compressors as machines used in the production process of various industries; construction machinery such as tractors; prime movers such as internal combustion engines; application fields of designing, manufacturing, constructing, and inspecting various plants and bio-industrial machinery such as agricultural and food processing machinery; and energy-related machinery such as air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.
