History of Department

Established with the goal of nurturing challenge-seeking and self-directed talents who will lead the era of change, the School of Liberal Studies is a broad and in-depth basic education and extracurricular program that allows perspective students to find their aptitudes and careers during their first year of college and also provides an opportunity to understand the humanities and social sciences or natural science major (department) curriculum.

Curriculum

  • The School of Liberal Studies supports students in selecting a major that suits their aptitudes from the second year and improves their competency while studying their major in the relevant department (or major).
  • Students take liberal arts and major subjects while freely exploring the major that suits them for one year.
  • Students must meet the standards presented in each area, including the liberal arts curriculum, according to the major selected in the second year and complete a total of 130/140/166 credits or more.
