- 외국학술지 문헌복사 무료 제공… 지역 간 학술정보 격차 해소 기대

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 도서관(관장 장철문)은 부산대학교 외국학술지지원센터(센터장 우균)와 학술정보의 공유와 학술연구 활성화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 양 기관이 보유한 외국학술지를 포함한 지식자원의 공동 활용을 통해 연구 역량을 높이고, 지역 간 학술정보 격차를 해소하기 위해 추진되었다.

협약을 통해 양 기관은 외국학술지 문헌복사 서비스 제공, 발간물 및 학술 프로그램 상호 홍보, 학술 공동사업 추진 등 다양한 분야에서 협력할 예정이다.

특히, 기술과학 분야 외국학술지 문헌의 경우, 국립순천대학교 도서관 이용자는 도서관 홈페이지, 이메일, 팩스 등을 통해 간편하게 문헌복사를 신청할 수 있으며, 복사 및 배송 비용은 부산대 외국학술지지원센터가 지원한다.

이번 협약을 통해 국립순천대학교는 구성원들의 해외 학술자료 접근성을 대폭 높이고, 지역대학 간 협력 기반을 강화해 나갈 방침이다.

장철문 도서관장은 “이번 협약으로 우리 대학 구성원들이 보다 폭넓고 수준 높은 해외 학술자원을 손쉽게 활용할 수 있는 기반이 마련되었다”라며 “지역대학 간 학술 네트워크 강화의 모범 사례가 되기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Sunchon National University Library Signs MOU with Pusan National University’s Foreign Academic Journal Support Center

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its university library (Director Jang Cheol-moon) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Foreign Academic Journal Support Center at Pusan National University (Director Woo Kyoon) to promote the sharing of academic resources and the advancement of scholarly research.

This agreement aims to enhance research capacity and reduce regional disparities in access to academic information by facilitating the joint utilization of knowledge resources, including foreign academic journals, held by both institutions.

Through the MOU, the two institutions will collaborate in a range of areas, including providing document delivery services for foreign journals, promoting each other’s publications and academic programs, and pursuing joint academic initiatives.

In particular, users of Sunchon National University Library can conveniently request copies of foreign journal articles in the science and technology fields via the library website, email, or fax. The copying and delivery costs will be covered by the Foreign Academic Journal Support Center at Pusan National University.

Through this agreement, Sunchon National University plans to significantly improve its members' access to international academic resources and to further strengthen the foundation for inter-university cooperation in the region.

Library Director Jang Cheol-moon stated, “This agreement establishes a solid foundation for our university community to easily access a wider range of high-quality international academic resources,” and expressed hope that “it will serve as a model case for strengthening academic networks among regional universities.”
