- 완성차업체 의존성과 부품기업 국제화 성과 간 관계 분석으로 학술·실무적 기여 인정

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 무역학전공 이재은 교수가 지난 5월 23일 서울과학종합대학원대학교(aSSIST)에서 열린 ‘2025년도 (사)한국국제경영학회 춘계학술대회’에서 우수논문상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 학술대회는 ‘K-글로벌 경영의 과거, 현재 그리고 미래’를 주제로 개최되었으며, 총 8개 세션에서 35편의 논문이 발표되었다. 이 중 2편이 우수논문상으로 선정되었으며, 이재은 교수와 한신대학교 양영수 교수가 공동 저술한 논문이 수상의 영예를 안았다.

이재은 교수와 양영수 교수가 발표한 「국내 완성차업체에 대한 부품기업의 의존성이 국제화 성과에 미치는 영향」 논문은 완성차업체에 대한 부품기업의 의존성을 ‘과대의존성’과 ‘과소의존성’으로 구분하고, 각 유형이 부품기업의 국제화 성과에 미치는 상이한 영향을 규명하였다.

해당 논문은 자원의존이론과 네트워크 이론을 바탕으로 한국 자동차산업 내 부품기업들의 국제경쟁력 제고에 도움을 줄 수 있는 의미 있는 학술적, 실무적 시사점을 제시했다는 점에서 심사위원회의 높은 평가를 받은 것으로 알려졌다.

국립순천대 이재은 교수는 “좋은 평가를 해주신 한국국제경영학회 관계자분들께 감사드리며, 앞으로도 한국기업들의 국제경쟁력 강화와 역량 개발에 도움이 될 수 있는 연구를 지속하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

Professor Lee Jae-eun of Sunchon National University Receives Best Paper Award at 2025 Spring Conference of the Korean Academy of International Business

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that Professor Lee Jae-eun, from the Department of International Trade, received the Best Paper Award at the 2025 Spring Conference of the Korean Academy of International Business (KAIB), held on May 23 at aSSIST University in Seoul.

The conference, held under the theme “K-Global Management: Past, Present, and Future,” featured a total of 35 paper presentations across eight academic sessions. Out of these, two papers were selected for the Best Paper Award. One of the award-winning papers was co-authored by Professor Lee Jae-eun and Professor Yang Young-soo of Hanshin University.

Their paper, titled “The Impact of Component Suppliers’ Dependency on Domestic Automakers on Internationalization Performance,” analyzes the effects of supplier dependency on international business outcomes by distinguishing between over-dependence and under-dependence. The study empirically identifies how these two types of dependency influence internationalization performance differently.

Grounded in resource dependence theory and network theory, the paper provides meaningful academic and practical implications for enhancing the global competitiveness of component suppliers in Korea’s automotive industry. The judging panel recognized the research for its rigorous theoretical foundation and real-world relevance.

Professor Lee expressed gratitude, stating, “I sincerely thank the Korean Academy of International Business for this recognition. I will continue conducting research that contributes to strengthening the global competitiveness and capabilities of Korean enterprises.”
