국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 6월 18일 오전 11시 30분, 대학 본부 중회의실에서 광주보건대학교(총장 김경태)와 함께 글로컬대학30 프로젝트 공동 협력을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 양 대학이 보유한 교육·연구 역량을 기반으로, △글로컬대학30 프로젝트의 성공적 추진 △지역대학 공유형 교육체계 구축 △보건의료 분야의 공동연구 및 학술교류 △지속 가능한 경영 및 사회적 책임 실현 등 지역 기반 고등교육 혁신과 상생발전을 위한 협력체계를 마련하기 위해 추진되었다.

협약식에는 국립순천대학교 이병운 총장, 남기창 교학부총장, 문승태 대외협력부총장, 손승남 교양교육원장과 광주보건대학교 김경태 총장, 오군석 교학부총장, 문일봉 교무처장, 박영호 교양교육센터장이 참석해 양교의 협력 의지를 다졌다.

김경태 총장은 “글로컬대학30이라는 국가적 과제 추진에 지역대학들이 연대하는 것은 매우 바람직한 방향”이라며, “협약을 계기로 두 대학 간 다양한 분야의 협력이 구체적인 성과로 이어지기를 기대한다”라고 말했다.

이병운 총장은“이번 협약은 양 대학이 지역사회의 보건의료 인재 양성과 교육 혁신을 함께 도모할 수 있는 매우 의미 있는 출발점”이라며, “앞으로도 신의와 성실을 바탕으로 실질적 협력이 이루어질 수 있도록 지속해서 노력하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

이번 협약을 통해 양교는 향후 지역 인재 양성, 교육 콘텐츠 공동 개발, 교양교육 협력 및 보건의료 전문 분야 연계 연구 등 다양한 협력 사업을 단계적으로 추진해 나갈 계획이다.

Sunchon National University and Gwangju Health University Sign MOU to Jointly Foster Glocal Healthcare Talent

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gwangju Health University (President Kim Kyung-tae) on June 18 at 11:30 a.m. in the university’s main conference room, pledging cooperation in advancing the Glocal University 30 initiative.

This agreement aims to establish a collaborative framework between the two universities for regional higher education innovation and mutual development. Key areas of cooperation include: △joint implementation of the Glocal University 30 project, △building a shared education system among local universities, △collaborative research and academic exchange in healthcare, and △pursuing sustainable management and social responsibility based on the educational and research strengths of both institutions.

The signing ceremony was attended by Sunchon National University President Lee Byung-woon, Vice President for Academic Affairs Nam Ki-chang, Vice President for External Affairs Moon Seung-tae, and Director of the Institute for General Education Son Seung-nam, alongside Gwangju Health University President Kim Kyung-tae, Vice President for Academic Affairs Oh Gun-seok, Dean of Academic Affairs Moon Il-bong, and Director of the Center for General Education Park Young-ho.

President Kim Kyung-tae remarked, “It is highly meaningful for local universities to collaborate on the nationally significant Glocal University 30 initiative. I hope this agreement will lead to tangible outcomes across various areas of partnership between our institutions.”

President Lee Byung-woon added, “This MOU marks an important starting point for our two universities to jointly foster healthcare professionals and drive educational innovation in the region. We will continue working in good faith to build a practical and sustainable partnership.”

Through this agreement, the two universities plan to gradually implement a range of collaborative initiatives, including local talent development, joint development of educational content, cooperation in general education, and integrated research in specialized healthcare fields.
