국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 지난 6월 20일(금), ‘2025학년도 1학기 학습성과 경진대회’ 시상식을 개최하고 성황리에 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

이번 경진대회는 국립대학육성사업의 일환으로, 재학생들이 수업을 통해 얻은 학습성과를 다양한 방식으로 표현하고, 우수한 교육 사례를 함께 공유하기 위해 마련되었다. 특히 2024학년도 학생교육컨설팅단의 제안에 따라 기존 수기 형식 외에도 카드뉴스 양식이 새롭게 도입되면서, 학생들이 보다 창의적이고 시각적인 방식으로 자신의 학습 경험을 공유할 수 있도록 개선됐다.

경진대회는 ‘인상 깊은 강의 체험 수기 공모전’과 ‘인상 깊은 강의 체험 카드뉴스 공모전’ 등 두 개 분야로 나뉘어 진행되었으며, 수기 부문에 62명, 카드뉴스 부문에 23명 등 총 85명의 학생이 참여해 열띤 경쟁을 펼쳤다. 공모 작품들은 학생들이 수업 속에서 직접 경험한 몰입과 성찰을 바탕으로 구성되었으며, 각자의 시선으로 학습의 의미를 해석하고 풀어낸 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

분야별 대상(총장상)은 수기 부문에서 경영학과 왕지은 학생(전공: 조직행동론, 담당교원: 이경근 교수)의 「단순한 이론 학습이 아닌 사례 분석을 통한 응용」, 카드뉴스 부문에서 중어중문학과 유자영 학생(전공: 재무타당성분석과 사업계획, 담당교원: 원자연 교수)의 「진짜 창업처럼, 수업처럼」이 각각 수상했다.

수기 작품은 이론의 단순 암기를 넘어 실제 사례에 적용하며 자기주도성과 통찰을 기른 학습 여정을 담아냈으며, 카드뉴스 작품은 수업을 통해 실무를 체험하고 주체적인 태도와 리더십을 키워나간 성장 과정이 돋보였다는 평을 받았다.

이외에도 분야별 최우수상 2명, 우수상 4명, 장려상 4명 등 총 12명의 학생이 수상의 영예를 안았으며, 심사를 통해 총 400만 원의 장학금이 수여될 예정이다.

남기창 교육혁신본부장은 “이번 경진대회가 학생들에게 자신의 가능성을 확인하고, 배움의 본질을 되새기는 계기가 되었기를 바란다”며 “우리 대학은 앞으로도 창의적이고 주도적인 학습문화를 조성해 나가기 위해 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다. 

한편, 국립순천대학교는 오는 8월 중으로 대상 수상자들이 직접 자신의 학습 경험을 공유하는 특강을 진행할 예정이다.

Sunchon National University Hosts 2025 Spring Semester Learning Outcomes Competition Awards Ceremony

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) held the awards ceremony for the 2025 Spring Semester Learning Outcomes Competition on Friday, June 20, marking the successful conclusion of the event.

The competition, part of the National University Development Project, was designed to encourage students to creatively express what they learned in their courses and to share outstanding examples of academic achievement. Reflecting recommendations from the 2024 Student Education Consulting Group, a new card news format was introduced alongside the traditional essay format, allowing students to share their learning experiences in more visual and innovative ways.

The competition was divided into two categories: an Essay Contest on Memorable Learning Experiences and a Card News Contest on Memorable Learning Experiences. A total of 85 students participated?62 in the essay category and 23 in the card news category. Many submissions were praised for their depth of reflection and personal engagement, demonstrating how students interpreted the meaning of learning through their own experiences.

The Grand Prize (President’s Award) in the essay category went to Ji-eun Wang from the Department of Business Administration for her work titled “Beyond Theoretical Learning: Applying Knowledge Through Case Analysis” (Course: Organizational Behavior / Instructor: Professor Kyung-Geun Lee). In the card news category, the top prize was awarded to Ja-young Yoo from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature for her project “Like a Real Startup, Like a Real Class” (Course: Feasibility Analysis and Business Planning / Instructor: Professor Ja-yeon Won). The essay was noted for illustrating a self-directed learning journey rooted in real-world application, while the card news was recognized for capturing a growth-oriented experience that fostered leadership and initiative through hands-on learning.

In addition to the grand prizes, a total of 12 students received awards across both categories, including Excellence Awards (2), Merit Awards (4), and Honorable Mentions (4). Winners will be awarded a combined total of 4 million KRW in scholarships.

Nam Ki-chang, Director of the Center for Educational Innovation, stated, “We hope this competition allowed students to rediscover their potential and reflect on the true meaning of learning. Sunchon National University will continue to support creative and self-directed learning through a variety of programs.” Meanwhile, the university plans to host a special lecture in August, where the grand prize winners will share their learning experiences with fellow students.
