First established as a national university in 1996, the Department of Photography is classified into pure photography, commercial photography, video, digital photography, and applied photography in keeping with the trend of the times. We are developing and operating subjects so that they can adapt from the arts to IT, CT, and related fields, and they are currently being implemented successfully. The Department of Photography of Sunchon National University, which is the only photography department among national universities, was selected as a national project by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development (NURI) [Culture Professional Human Resources Development Project Group-Large] in 2006. Through national support of KRW 16 billion as total project cost, we will provide benefits of approximately KRW 6 million per student through CAN DO customized education such as scholarships, overseas training, and internship education. “Now, become the protagonist of NURI, where the best education and secure employment are guaranteed; you, too.”
