- 산업 현장 연계 연구 통해 국내 주요 학술대회서 학술적 경쟁력 입증

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) SW중심대학사업단은 2025년도 산학연계 프로젝트 지원을 통해 국내 주요 학술대회에서 우수논문 15편을 수상하는 성과를 거뒀다고 밝혔다.

국립순천대학교 SW중심대학사업단은 산학연계 프로젝트 수행을 통해 멀티미디어학회, 한국전자통신학회, 스마트미디어학회 등 3개 학회의 춘계·추계 학술대회에 참여해 총 71편의 논문을 발표했으며, 이 가운데 15편이 우수논문으로 선정됐다.

SW중심대학사업단은 이론 중심 교육을 넘어 실제 산업 현장과 연계된 실질적인 연구 역량 강화를 목표로, 2023년부터 지속적으로 산학연계 프로젝트를 지원해 오고 있다. 특히 2025년도에는 산업체와 연계한 문제 해결형 연구를 중심으로 다수의 논문이 학술적 우수성을 인정받는 의미 있는 성과를 창출했다.

산학협력 프로젝트에 참여한 에이투지 시스템 정기봉 지사장은 “학생들이 산학연계 프로젝트를 통해 실제 산업 현장에서 발생하는 문제를 분석하고, 이를 직접 해결하는 경험을 바탕으로 논문을 작성했기 때문에 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다”며,“이러한 경험은 학생들의 실무 역량은 물론, 산업 현장에서 즉시 활용 가능한 문제 해결 능력을 갖춘 인재로 성장하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.

국립순천대학교 SW중심대학사업단 심춘보 단장은 “이번 성과는 산학연계 기반의 실무 중심 교육이 학생들의 연구 역량과 문제 해결 능력을 실질적으로 향상시킨 결과”라며, “앞으로도 산업 수요를 반영한 교육과 연구를 통해 지역과 국가가 필요로 하는 SW 전문 인재 양성에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

한편, 국립순천대학교 SW중심대학사업은 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신기획평가원(IITP)의 지원을 받아 전라남도, 순천시, 광양시, 여수시, 고흥군과 협력해 지역 내 SW 가치 확산을 위한 다양한 교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.

SCNU SW-Centered University Project Achieves 15 Best Paper Awards Through Industry-Linked Projects

- Demonstrates strong academic competitiveness at major domestic conferences through industry-connected research

Sunchon National University (SCNU) announced that its SW-Centered University Project achieved a total of 15 Best Paper Awards at major domestic academic conferences in 2025 through its industry-linked project initiative.

Through these projects, the SCNU SW-Centered University Project participated in spring and fall conferences hosted by three major academic societies, including the Korea Multimedia Society, the Korea Institute of Electronic Communication Sciences, and the Smart Media Society. A total of 71 papers were presented, of which 15 were selected as best papers.

Since 2023, the project has continuously supported industry-linked research projects with the aim of strengthening practical research capabilities beyond theory-based education. In 2025, in particular, problem-solving research conducted in collaboration with industry partners received strong recognition for its academic excellence.

An industry partner involved in the collaboration noted that students were able to achieve strong results by analyzing real-world industrial challenges and developing practical solutions, adding that such experiences help students grow into professionals with immediately applicable problem-solving skills.

The head of the SW-Centered University Project at SCNU stated that these achievements reflect the effectiveness of practice-oriented education based on industry collaboration, and emphasized that the project will continue to cultivate software professionals who meet the needs of both regional and national industries.

Meanwhile, SCNU’s SW-Centered University Project is supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP), and is operated in cooperation with Jeollanam-do Province and local governments to expand the value of software education across the region.
