국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 16일, 지역사회 발전과 미래 인재 육성에 꾸준한 나눔을 실천해 온 주식회사 아모르 남백원 회장이 대학발전기금 2천만 원을 쾌척했다고 밝혔다.

이날 기탁식은 이병운 총장을 비롯한 대학 주요 보직자들이 참석한 가운데, 꾸준한 사회공헌 활동으로 알려진 남백원 회장과 함께 교육과 지역사회에 따뜻한 마음을 되돌리는‘선순환의 상징’의 자리로 의미가 더해졌다.

남백원 회장은 오랜 기간 지역 기반 사업을 이끌며 지역 경제와 고용 창출에 기여해 온 향토 기업인이다. 더불어 순천대학교 경영행정대학원 제9대 총동창회장, 제1기 발전후원회 사무총장, 그리고 제2기와 제3기 발전후원회 위원으로 활동하며 대학과 지역 발전을 위해 헌신해 왔다. 이러한 꾸준한 나눔과 후원은 지역사회에서 깊은 신뢰와 존경을 받는 밑거름이 되고 있다.

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byeong-woon, SCNU) announced on the 16th that Nam Baek-won, Chairman of Amor Co., Ltd., has donated KRW 20 million to the university development fund, continuing his long-standing commitment to community development and the nurturing of future talent.

The donation ceremony was attended by President Lee and senior university officials, and highlighted Chairman Nam’s consistent philanthropic efforts as a symbol of a virtuous cycle that gives back to education and the local community.

Chairman Nam is a long-established local entrepreneur who has contributed to the regional economy and job creation through his community-based business. He has also served the university in various leadership roles, including as the 9th President of the Alumni Association of the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration, Secretary General of the 1st Development Support Committee, and a member of the 2nd and 3rd Development Support Committees, demonstrating sustained dedication to the university and the region. His continued giving has earned deep trust and respect within the local community.
