- 명예주민자치위원 23명, 마을 현장에서 활동 성과 공유

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 위험사회 컨소시엄 인문사회융합인재양성사업단(이하 위험사회 HUSS 사업단)은 지난 5일, 장천 노랑극장에서 ‘순천시 대학생 명예주민자치위원 전시회·성과보고회 및 수료식’을 개최했다.

이번 행사는 위험사회 HUSS 사업단과 순천시 자치행정과, 순천시 마을공동체지원센터의 협약 아래 진행된 명예주민자치위원 활동의 결과를 공유하기 위해 마련됐다.

지난 9월 명예주민자치위원으로 위촉된 국립순천대학교 학생 23명은 매곡동, 저전동, 풍덕동, 향동 등 네 개의 동에서 마을 마스코트 개발, 영상·매거진 제작, SNS 운영, 포스터·카드뉴스 제작, 주민 인터뷰 등 다양한 주민자치 활동을 수행해 왔다.

행사에서는 명예주민자치위원들이 마을 부스를 운영하며, 그동안의 활동 성과물을 전시하고 방문객들을 위한 참여 프로그램을 진행했다. 이어진 수료식에서는 팀별 활동 과정과 성과를 공유하고 마무리 소감을 발표했으며, 수료증을 수여받으며 활동을 공식적으로 마무리했다.

저전동 명예주민자치위원 남지우(행정학과, 3년) 학생은 “이번 활동을 통해 마을을 알리는데 실질적인 도움을 준 것 같아 보람을 느낀다”며, “활동 기간이 짧아 아쉬움이 남지만 지역사회 발전을 위한 행동을 이어나가고 싶다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

한편, 김선명 위험사회 HUSS 사업단장은 “이번 프로그램은 학생들이 주민자치의 현장을 직접 경험하고 지역의 변화를 만들어가는 소중한 과정이었다”며 “앞으로도 대학과 지역사회가 함께 성장할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

SCNU Risk Society HUSS Project Successfully Concludes Exhibition, Performance Report, and Completion Ceremony for Student Honorary Resident Autonomy Committee Members

Sunchon National University (SCNU) announced that the Risk Society Consortium Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence Talent Development Project (Risk Society HUSS) successfully held an exhibition, performance report session, and completion ceremony for Suncheon City Student Honorary Resident Autonomy Committee Members on December 5 at Jangcheon Norang Theater.

The event was organized to share the outcomes of the Honorary Resident Autonomy Committee activities carried out under a cooperative agreement between the Risk Society HUSS Project, Suncheon City’s Local Autonomy Administration Division, and the Suncheon City Community Support Center.

A total of 23 SCNU students, appointed as Honorary Resident Autonomy Committee Members in September, carried out various community-based activities in four neighborhoods?Maegok-dong, Jeojeon-dong, Pungdeok-dong, and Hyang-dong. Their activities included developing village mascots, producing videos and magazines, managing social media channels, creating posters and card news, and conducting resident interviews.

During the event, students operated community booths to showcase their project outcomes and hosted interactive programs for visitors. The completion ceremony featured team presentations on activity processes and achievements, reflections on their experiences, and the official awarding of completion certificates.

One participating student shared that the program was meaningful in contributing to promoting local communities and expressed a desire to continue engaging in activities that support regional development, despite the short duration of the program.

Kim Seon-myeong, Head of the Risk Society HUSS Project, stated that the program provided students with valuable opportunities to experience grassroots local governance firsthand and actively contribute to community change. He added that the university will continue to support programs that foster mutual growth between the university and the local community.
