- 동경대·니혼대학 교수진 초청… 첨단 ICT 기반 농업 기술 교류로 미래농업 협력 강화

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 지능형 스마트농업 Grand ICT 연구센터(센터장 여현, 이하 ‘Grand ICT 연구센터’)는 지난달 23일, 일본 농업·생명과학 분야 교수진을 초청해 ‘스마트농업과 센싱 기술(Smart Agriculture and Sensing Technologies)’을 주제로 국제세미나를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 세미나는 스마트농업 관련 최신 ICT와 센싱 기술을 공유하고 한·일 학계 간 학술 교류를 확대하기 위해 마련됐다. 동경대학교 마사루 미조구치(Masaru Mizoguchi) 교수, 니혼대학(Nihon University) 히로키 우메다(Hiroki Umeda) 교수와 도갑수 교수를 비롯해, 국립순천대 여현 센터장과 배영환 교수, 대학원생 및 스마트농업 관계자 등 약 40명이 참석했다.

세미나는 ▲마사루 미조구치 교수의 ‘Starlink 및 Mesh Net Wi-Fi 기술을 활용한 산간 농업지역 인터넷 환경 개선(Experiments on Internet Environment Improvement in Mountainous Farmland Using Starlink and Mesh Net Wi-Fi Technology)’ ▲우메다 교수의 ‘광학기술을 활용한 정밀농업용 농작물·포장 정보 시각화(Visualization of Field and Plant Information for Precision Farm Management Using Optical Technologies)’ ▲도갑수 교수의 ‘동결 생물·식품 재료의 내부 구조 계측(Measurement of Internal Structures in Frozen Biological and Food Materials)’ 등 3개 주제 발표와 종합 토론으로 진행됐다.

참석자들은 세미나를 통해 첨단 ICT 및 센싱 기술의 국내 농업 현장 적용 가능성과 협력 연구 과제 발굴 방안을 함께 논의했다. 특히 한·일 양국의 학술 네트워크를 기반으로 지속 가능한 스마트농업 협력 모델을 구상하는 계기가 되었다는 평가를 받았다.

국립순천대 여현 Grand ICT 연구센터장은 “이번 세미나가 스마트농업 기술의 고도화와 학문적 교류 증진의 디딤돌이 되길 바란다”라며, “앞으로도 한·일 학계 간 공동연구와 첨단 ICT·센싱 기술 교류를 통해 미래 농업 발전 방향을 함께 모색하겠다”고 밝혔다.

SCNU Hosts Korea-Japan Joint International Seminar on “Smart Agriculture and Sensing Technologies”

- Tokyo and Nihon University professors join SCNU to strengthen future agricultural cooperation through advanced ICT-based research exchange

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that the Intelligent Smart Agriculture Grand ICT Research Center (Director Yeo Hyun) hosted an international seminar titled “Smart Agriculture and Sensing Technologies” on October 23, inviting distinguished professors from Japan’s leading agricultural and life science universities.

The seminar aimed to share the latest developments in smart agriculture, ICT, and sensing technologies while expanding academic collaboration between Korea and Japan.

Participants included Professor Masaru Mizoguchi of the University of Tokyo, Professors Hiroki Umeda and Gap-Soo Do of Nihon University, as well as Professor Yeo Hyun, Director of the SCNU Grand ICT Research Center, Professor Bae Young-hwan, graduate students, and approximately 40 experts in the smart agriculture field.

The event featured three major presentations: “Experiments on Internet Environment Improvement in Mountainous Farmland Using Starlink and Mesh Net Wi-Fi Technology” by Professor Masaru Mizoguchi (University of Tokyo); “Visualization of Field and Plant Information for Precision Farm Management Using Optical Technologies” by Professor Hiroki Umeda (Nihon University); “Measurement of Internal Structures in Frozen Biological and Food Materials” by Professor Gap-Soo Do (Nihon University).

Following the presentations, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on applying advanced ICT and sensing technologies to Korean agricultural sites and identifying potential joint research initiatives. The seminar was highly regarded as a meaningful step toward building a sustainable Korea?Japan collaboration model for smart agriculture based on academic and technological exchange.

Professor Yeo Hyun, Director of the SCNU Grand ICT Research Center, stated, “This seminar serves as a platform to enhance the advancement of smart agricultural technologies and strengthen academic cooperation between Korea and Japan.
