- 최정호 대한항공 부사장·탁현민 국회의장 행사기획자문관 초청 … 청년 진로·취업 역량 강화 나서

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 대학일자리플러스센터는 11월 10일(월)과 13일(목), 재학생과 지역 청년을 대상으로 ‘진로공감 기획토크’를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 현직 전문가와 순천대 졸업생 멘토를 함께 초청해 청년들의 진로 탐색과 취업 역량 강화를 지원하는 지역 맞춤형 프로그램으로 마련됐다.

먼저, 11월 10일(월)에는 사회과학관 2층 합동강의실에서 최정호 대한항공 부사장이 항공운송 산업의 경쟁력 강화 전략을 담은 ‘글로벌톱티어, 운영의 묘(妙)’ 특강을 진행한다. 이어 11월 13일(목)에는 탁현민 국회의장 행사기획자문관이 학생회관 2층 문화강당에서 ‘상상과 현실 그 사이에’를 주제로 국제행사와 국가기념식 기획·연출 과정을 생생하게 전달하고, 학생들과 진로와 삶의 방향을 함께 모색하는 시간을 가질 예정이다.

또한, 이번 행사에는 재학생과의 공감형 진로 탐색을 위해 ‘졸업 선배 멘토 토크’ 세션도 함께 준비되었다. 대학 캐릭터 기획·제작에 참여한 3D 크리에이터 김진영 동문(16학번, 영상디자인학과)을 비롯해 한국투자증권, 현대스틸, 순천농협, (주)루안 등 다양한 분야에서 활약 중인 선배 멘토들이 참여해, 대학 생활 경험부터 직무 적응, 진로 선택의 실제 과정까지 현실적인 조언을 전할 예정이다.

최수임 대학일자리플러스센터장은 “이번 진로공감 기획토크는 단순한 특강을 넘어 학생과 지역 청년들이 자신의 기질을 이해하고, 다양한 진로 경로를 구체적으로 설계할 수 있는 좋은 계기가 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 협력해 실질적인 진로·취업 지원 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립순천대학교는 고용노동부 지원으로 대학일자리플러스센터 사업을 수행하고 있으며, 청년고용정책 유관기관과 협력해 학생회관 1층 라운지에서 매월 2회 ‘청년고용정책 DAY’를 운영하고 있다. 이를 통해 국민취업지원제도 안내, 현장상담, 1:1 맞춤형 진로컨설팅 등 실질적인 취업 지원 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

SCNU Hosts “Career Insight Talk” for Students and Local Youth

- Inviting Korean Air Vice President Choi Jeong-ho and National Assembly Event Director Tak Hyun-min to strengthen youth career competencies

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its University Career Plus Center will host the “Career Insight Talk” on November 10 (Monday) and November 13 (Thursday) for students and young residents of the region. The program is designed as a customized local initiative to support youth in exploring career paths and strengthening employability skills through special lectures by leading professionals and mentoring sessions with SCNU alumni.

On November 10, Choi Jeong-ho, Vice President of Korean Air, will deliver a keynote lecture titled “Global Top-Tier: The Art of Operation” at the Social Sciences Building (Room 201). His lecture will focus on strategies for enhancing competitiveness within the global air transport industry.

Then, on November 13, Tak Hyun-min, Event Director and Advisor to the Speaker of the National Assembly, will speak at the Student Union Cultural Hall on the topic “Between Imagination and Reality.” Drawing on his extensive experience directing national ceremonies and international events, Tak will share vivid insights into the creative process of event planning and discuss with students how imagination can shape both career and life direction.

The event also includes a “Mentor Talk with Alumni” session designed to help students engage in reflective career exploration. Among the mentors are Jin-young Kim, a freelance 3D creator who participated in designing SCNU’s official character, and alumni currently working at Korea Investment & Securities, Hyundai Steel, Suncheon Nonghyup, and Luan Co., Ltd. These mentors will offer practical advice on university life, adapting to the workplace, and making real-world career decisions.

Choi Su-im, Director of the University Career Plus Center, stated, “This Career Insight Talk goes beyond a traditional lecture format. It provides students and local youth with an opportunity to better understand their strengths and design tangible, personalized career paths. SCNU will continue to expand practical career and employment support programs in close cooperation with the local community.”

Supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, SCNU’s University Career Plus Center operates a variety of programs to help students and local youth navigate employment opportunities. The Center hosts the “Youth Employment Policy Day” twice a month in the Student Union lounge, offering consultations on the National Employment Support Program, on-site counseling, and one-on-one career coaching to provide practical and accessible career services.
