- 2025년도 제2차 지역 평생교육 실무협의회 개최

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 평생교육스쿨은 지난 19일(금)「2025년도 제2차 지역 평생교육 실무협의회」를 개최하고, 평생교육 분야 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업을 본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 협의회는 대학과 지역사회가 함께 성장하는 평생교육 허브센터 구축을 목표로 개최되었으며, 주관대학인 국립순천대를 비롯해 순천시·광양시 등 전남 동부권 7개 지자체 평생교육 관계자가 참석했다.

참석자들은 ▲2025년 RISE 사업 추진 방향 ▲지역 맞춤형 인력 양성 ▲일자리 창출 협력 방안 등을 집중 논의했다. 특히, ▲농산물 고부가가치 시제품 개발 교육과정 ▲드론 활용 농번기 인력 제공 과정 등이 대표 사례로 다뤄졌다.

문승태 대외협력부총장은 “RISE 사업은 대학과 지자체가 힘을 모아 지역 맞춤형 혁신을 이끄는 핵심 플랫폼이 될 것”이라며, “교육·산업·문화 전반의 경쟁력을 높이고 지역 주민 삶의 질 향상에 기여하겠다”고 강조했다.

한편, 향후 국립순천대학교 평생교육 허브센터는 성인 친화적 교육과정 운영, 취·창업 역량 강화, 지역 맞춤형 인력 양성을 통해 지역사회와의 연계 협력을 지속 강화해 나갈 계획이다.

SCNU Leads Lifelong Education to Foster Region-Specific Talent and Create Jobs through the RISE Project

- Holds the 2nd Regional Lifelong Education Working Council of 2025

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Lifelong Education School held the 2nd Regional Lifelong Education Working Council of 2025 on September 19 to officially launch the RISE (Regional Innovation-centered University Support) project in the field of lifelong education.

The council meeting aimed to establish SCNU as a hub for lifelong education that grows together with local communities. It brought together lifelong education officials from seven local governments in the eastern Jeollanam-do region, including Suncheon and Gwangyang.

Participants focused on key issues such as the direction of the 2025 RISE project, strategies for training region-specific talent, and plans to create new jobs. Notable examples discussed included training programs for developing high value-added agricultural product prototypes and courses that provide seasonal labor support using drones during busy farming periods.

Moon Seung-tae, Vice President for External Cooperation at SCNU, stated, “The RISE project will serve as a key platform for region-tailored innovation driven by cooperation between universities and local governments. We will enhance competitiveness across education, industry, and culture, ultimately improving the quality of life for local residents.”

Moving forward, SCNU’s Lifelong Education Hub Center plans to strengthen university?community partnerships by offering adult-friendly education programs, enhancing employment and entrepreneurship skills, and fostering region-specific talent, thereby promoting continuous collaboration and sustainable regional growth.
