- ‘초연결사회 언어·문학과 교육’ 주제로 열려 -

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 위험사회 컨소시엄 인문사회융합인재양성사업단(이하 ‘위험사회 HUSS 사업단’)은 지난 8월 20일 국어문학회와 공동으로 2025학년도 제1차 학술대회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

‘초연결사회의 언어·문학과 교육’을 주제로 열린 이번 학술대회는 디지털 기술 확산으로 변화하는 언어 사용 방식과 문학의 수용 양상에 대한 비판적 성찰과 함께, 이를 교육 현장에서의 적용 가능성을 탐색하기 위해 마련되었다. 특히, 교원과 학생이 함께 기획·참여한 학술 교류의 장으로서, 실질적인 교육·연구 역량을 강화하는 데 중점을 두었다.

행사는 국립순천대학교 사범대학 1호관에서 진행됐으며 참여 학과인 국립순천대학교 국어교육과 교수와 학생 등 약 60여 명이 함께했다. 프로그램은 ▲기조강연 ▲분과발표 ▲학생 포스터 전시 ▲캠페인 활동 등으로 다채롭게 구성됐다.

기조 강연에서는 공종구(군산대 명예교수)가 ‘초연결사회(시대)의 아이러니 : 초단절사회’를 주제로 강연했다. 이어진 분과 발표에서는 학생과 교원이 공동으로 준비한 연구 주제들이 발표되어 활발한 학술 토론이 이루어졌다. 또한, 학생들이 준비한 포스터 전시와 캠페인 활동을 통해 사회적 이슈에 대한 관심과 문제 해결 의지를 실천적으로 드러내는 기회도 제공되었다.

위험사회 HUSS 사업단 김선명 사업단장은 “이번 학술대회는 초연결사회가 요구하는 융합형 인재 양성을 위한 실제적인 교육 모델을 제시한 자리였다”며, “초연결사회에서 요구되는 실제적인 역량을 학생들이 현장 실무 이전에 체감해볼 수 있는 소중한 기회였으며 앞으로도 이와 같은 자리를 지속적으로 마련하겠다”고 전했다.

한편, 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 이번 학술대회를 계기로 초연결사회에 적합한 실무 역량과 문제해결 중심의 사고를 갖춘 융합형 인재 양성에 한 걸음 더 다가섰다. 앞으로도 이론과 실무를 연계한 다양한 교육 프로그램을 통해 학생들이 변화하는 사회 환경에 능동적으로 대응하고, 지역사회와 함께 성장할 수 있도록 지속적인 노력을 이어갈 계획이다.

SCNU HUSS Risk Society Project Hosts 2025 First Academic Conference

- Exploring “Language, Literature, and Education in a Hyper-Connected Society”

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that the HUSS Risk Society Project, part of the Humanities Utmost Sharing System consortium, co-hosted the first academic conference of 2025 with the Korean Language and Literature Society on August 20.

The conference, held under the theme “Language, Literature, and Education in a Hyper-Connected Society”, aimed to critically reflect on changing patterns of language use and literary reception in the digital age while exploring how these changes could be applied in educational contexts. The event emphasized strengthening practical research and teaching capacities by engaging both faculty and students in joint planning and participation.

Hosted at the College of Education, the program featured a keynote lecture, breakout sessions, student poster presentations, and campaign activities. In the keynote, Professor Emeritus Kong Jong-gu of Kunsan National University spoke on “The Irony of the Hyper-Connected Society: Toward a Hyper-Disconnected Society.” Subsequent sessions included collaborative presentations by students and faculty, which generated active academic discussions. Poster exhibitions and student-led campaigns further highlighted social issues and the will to engage in problem-solving.

Professor Kim Sun-myung, Director of the HUSS Risk Society Project, noted, “This conference provided a meaningful model for cultivating convergence-oriented talents required in a hyper-connected society. It was also a valuable opportunity for students to experience firsthand the competencies needed in real-world practice, and we will continue to create such platforms in the future.”

The event underscored SCNU’s commitment to developing convergence-ready professionals equipped with practical skills and problem-solving mindsets for a hyper-connected era. Going forward, the HUSS Risk Society Project will continue linking theory with practice through diverse educational programs, enabling students to respond proactively to social changes while growing together with the community.
