- 인문사회융합인재양성사업에 참여하는 10개 컨소시엄, 50개 대학 재학생 대상 운영

- 해커톤, AI 경진대회, 숏폼 콘텐츠 공모전 등 다양한 프로그램 참여

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 위험사회 컨소시엄 인문사회융합인재양성사업단(이하 ‘위험사회 HUSS 사업단’)은 지난 8월 18일부터 20일까지 2박 3일간, 인문사회융합인재양성사업 10개 컨소시엄, 50개 대학 재학생을 대상으로 진행된 ‘HUSS 융합캠프 인사이트’에 참여했다고 밝혔다.

이번 융합캠프는 인문사회 융합인재가 한자리에 모여 사회문제 해결을 위한 창의적 솔루션을 도출하고, 인문역량을 기반으로 문제 해결 능력을 발휘함으로써 HUSS 인재를 발굴하고 육성하기 위해 마련되었다. 또한 사업단에서 추진하는 비교과 프로그램의 우수성과 확산을 도모하고, 학생들의 콘텐츠 기획·생산 역량을 강화하는 것을 목적으로 했다.

국립순천대 학생들이 10명을 포함하여 사업 수행 대학 학부생과 관계자 약 300명이 참여한 이번 캠프에서는 ▲HUSS 해커톤 ▲HUSS인의 밤 ▲팀별 자유 토론 ▲본선 솔루션 피칭 ▲HUSS AI 경진대회 ▲HUSS 숏폼 공모전 등 다채로운 프로그램이 진행되었다.

HUSS 해커톤은 ‘지속가능한 미래를 위한 Futur-Agora’라는 부제를 가지고 미래사회가 직면할 주요 문제에 대한 실질적 해결책을 모색하도록 운영됐다. 참가 학생들은 문제를 탐색하고 타 대학 학생들과 융합팀을 구성하여 다양한 관점에서 문제를 정의하고 창의적 솔루션을 도출했다.

함께 진행된 HUSS AI 경진대회는 인문사회와 AI를 접목해 공공수요와 연계된 문제를 해결하는 프로그램으로, 단순 아이디어를 넘어 실현 가능한 솔루션을 제시하도록 운영됐다. HUSS 숏폼 공모전에서는 HUSS 비교과 프로그램에 참여한 학생들의 경험을 바탕으로 숏폼 영상을 제작하고, 우수콘텐츠를 시상하는 방식으로 운영되었다.

국립순천대학교 김선명 사업단장은 “이번 융합캠프는 학생들이 인문사회적 통찰력을 기반으로 첨단기술과 창의적 아이디어를 결합해볼 수 있는 기회의 장이었다”며, “캠프를 통해 우수한 인재들이 미래사회의 다양한 문제 해결에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 전했다.

한편, 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 국립순천대학교를 비롯해 선문대학교, 세종대학교, 순천향대학교, 국립한밭대학교가 함께 컨소시엄을 구성해 운영 중이다. 본 사업은 2023년부터 교육부와 한국연구재단의 지원을 받아 인문사회 기반의 융합교육을 통해 사회적 실천 역량을 갖춘 인재 양성을 목표로 다양한 교육 프로그램을 추진하고 있다.

SCNU HUSS Project Team Joins “HUSS Convergence Camp Insight”

- Engaging students from 10 consortia and 50 universities nationwide

- Hackathon, AI competition, and short-form contest highlight creative problem-solving

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Risk Society HUSS Project Team participated in the “HUSS Convergence Camp Insight,” held from August 18 to 20. The three-day program brought together undergraduate students from 50 universities across 10 national HUSS consortia, fostering creative solutions to social issues through interdisciplinary collaboration.

The camp was designed to cultivate humanities-based problem-solving skills and strengthen students’ capacity for content planning and production. Approximately 300 participants, including 10 SCNU students, took part in diverse programs such as the HUSS Hackathon, AI Competition, team discussions, solution pitching, and a short-form content contest.

The Hackathon, themed “Futur-Agora for a Sustainable Future,” encouraged students to define and address real-world challenges through cross-university collaboration. In the AI Competition, participants combined humanities perspectives with AI technologies to develop feasible, public-oriented solutions. Meanwhile, the short-form contest invited students to share their program experiences through creative video content.

Kim Sun-myung, Director of the SCNU HUSS Project Team, remarked, “This camp provided students with an opportunity to merge humanistic insight with advanced technology and creative ideas. We expect these talented students will contribute to solving the complex challenges of future society.”

The SCNU HUSS Project Team is part of a national consortium that includes Sun Moon University, Sejong University, Soonchunhyang University, and Hanbat National University. Supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea since 2023, the HUSS program aims to nurture socially engaged talent through humanities-based interdisciplinary education.
