- ‘2025 전남 RISE사업단장 회의’ 개최… 권역별 성과 공유와 공동 협력사업 모색

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 지역혁신중심대학지원체계(RISE·라이즈)사업단(이하 라이즈사업단)은 20일 학내 산학협력관 대회의실에서 전남권 17개 대학과 함께 ‘2025년 전남 RISE사업단장 회의’를 열고, 지역 균형발전과 공동 현안 해결을 위한 협력 체계 구축에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

이번 회의에는 전남 동부권(국립순천대, 전남대 여수캠퍼스, 청암대, 순천제일대, 광양보건대, 한영대), 서부권(국립목포대, 목포가톨릭대, 목포해양대, 세한대, 목포과학대, 초당대, 동아보건대), 중부권(동신대, 전남도립대, 전남과학대, 한국에너지공과대) 등 전남 RISE사업 참여 대학의 사업단장들이 참석했다.

참석자들은 ▲대학별 추진 현황 및 성과지표 ▲전남RISE센터 공동 건의사항 ▲사업비 지침 관련 사항 등을 공유하고, 전남권 전체 대학이 함께 추진할 협력사업 방향을 심도 있게 논의했다. 특히 대학별 성과를 점검하고, 권역 간 균형발전을 도모할 수 있는 협력 모델의 필요성에 공감대를 형성했다.

국립순천대 송경환 산학협력단장은 “전남권 대학들이 긴밀히 협력해 지역 현안을 해결하고, 교육·연구·산학협력 전반에서 지속 가능한 혁신과 균형발전을 이끌 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

SCNU Hosts Jeonnam RISE Directors’ Meeting with 17 Universities to Advance Regional Innovation and Balanced Development

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Regional Innovation-centered University Support System (RISE) Office convened the “2025 Jeonnam RISE Directors’ Meeting” on August 20 at the university’s Industry-Academia Cooperation Hall. The meeting brought together representatives from 17 universities across Jeollanam-do to strengthen cooperation for balanced regional development and joint responses to local challenges.

Participating institutions included universities from the eastern region (SCNU, Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus, Cheongam College, Sunchon Jeil College, Gwangyang Health Sciences University, Hanyeong College), western region (Mokpo National University, Mokpo Catholic University, Mokpo Maritime University, Sehan University, Mokpo Science University, Chodang University, Dong-A Health University), and central region (Dongshin University, Jeonnam Provincial University, Jeonnam Science University, Korea Institute of Energy Technology).

Attendees shared updates on institutional performance, joint proposals for the Jeonnam RISE Center, and guidelines for project funding, while exploring opportunities for collaborative initiatives across the province. The meeting underscored the importance of joint models that ensure both project outcomes and balanced growth across different sub-regions.

Song Kyung-hwan, Head of SCNU’s Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation, stated, “SCNU will actively support Jeonnam universities in working closely together to address regional challenges and to achieve sustainable innovation and balanced development across education, research, and industry collaboration.”
