- 클라우드 기반 공동 교육 환경 조성 위해 각 대학에 VDI 40대 무상 제공 

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 정보전산원(원장 심현)은 글로컬대학30 핵심 과제 중 하나인 ‘글로컬 통합플랫폼 운영’과 ‘지역대학 연계 인재 양성’을 위한 기반 마련을 완료하고, 지난 7월 11일(목) ‘지역대학 대상 글로컬 통합플랫폼 연계망 구축 완료 간담회’를 개최했다.

이번 간담회는 지역대학 간 연계망 구축이 실질적으로 완료됨에 따라, 기술적 사항과 운영 방향을 공유하고 향후 협력 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련되었다. 간담회에는 △청암대학교(총장직무대행 김성홍) △순천제일대학교(총장 성동제) △한영대학교(총장 임정섭) 등 3개 대학 관계자가 참석했다.

국립순천대 정보전산원은 이번 연계망 구축을 위해 각 지역대학에 전용 보안 통신망과 VPN 서버 시스템을 설치하고, 최신 정보보안시스템을 도입하여 사이버 위협에 대응할 수 있는 안정적인 정보 환경을 조성했다.

또한 클라우드 기반의 공동 교육 환경 마련을 위해 실습용 클라우드 PC(VDI) 120대를 각 대학에 무상 제공했다. 대학당 실습실 1개 규모인 40대가 지원되며, 이를 통해 지역대학이 시간·장소 제약 없이 통합플랫폼을 활용할 수 있도록 교육인프라를 강화하였다.

앞으로 국립순천대는 3개 대학과 함께 클라우드 기반 플랫폼을 공유하며 공동 교육과정 운영, 데이터 연계, 지역인재 육성 및 취업 연계 등 실질적 협력 사업을 추진할 계획이다. 또한 각 기관의 상생 발전을 위한 협력 분야를 지속적으로 발굴하고 확대해나갈 방침이다.

국립순천대 심현 정보전산원장은 “이번 연계망 구축은 지역대학 간 정보인프라 공유와 상생 협력을 위한 중요한 출발점이 될 것”이라며 “향후 지자체와 산업체까지 협력 대상을 확장해 지역 내 협력 네트워크를 공고히 하고, 지역발전으로 이어지길 기대한다”라고 밝혔다.

국립순천대학교 정보전산원은 앞으로도 글로컬대학30 사업의 정책 방향에 맞춰 지자체 및 산업체와 연계한 지·산·학 공동 프로젝트를 지속적으로 지원해 나갈 계획이다.

Sunchon National University Completes Inter-University Network for the Glocal University 30 Project

- 40 VDI terminals provided free of charge to each partner college to support a shared cloud-based educational environment 

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Information and Computing Center (Director Shim Hyun) successfully held a briefing session on July 11 to mark the completion of the inter-university network for the Glocal University 30 Project and to discuss future cooperation.

This initiative aims to operate an integrated Glocal platform and nurture regional talent by linking local colleges. The session was attended by representatives from three partner institutions: Cheongam College (Acting President Kim Seong-hong), Sunchon Jeil College (President Seong Dong-je), and Hanyeong College (President Lim Jeong-seop).

To build the network, Sunchon National University installed dedicated secure communication channels at each partner institution and introduced advanced cybersecurity systems, including exclusive VPN servers, to protect against cyber threats.

In addition, the university is promoting a Cloud PC project to facilitate shared infrastructure. A total of 120 Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) terminals?40 per college?have been provided free of charge to create shared computer labs, supporting flexible use of educational resources across institutions.

The three colleges will also share a cloud-based platform to operate joint academic programs. Through mutual data exchange, the institutions plan to collaborate in nurturing regional talent and supporting student employment. The partners also expressed commitment to continue cooperating in other mutually beneficial areas.

Shim Hyun, Director of the Information and Computing Center, remarked, “Through this Glocal University 30 initiative, we have established a collaborative inter-university network, laying the groundwork for shared infrastructure and sustainable growth among regional colleges.” He added, “We also plan to expand this network by involving local governments and industries, ultimately contributing to regional development.”

Sunchon National University will continue to support joint university-industry-government projects in alignment with the policy goals of the Glocal University 30 initiative.
