- 다온플레이스(주)와 협력해 AWS·SAS 기반 글로벌 AI 실무 역량 강화

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) SW중심대학사업단은 지난 7월 2일(수)부터 4일(금)까지 3일간, 공과대학 3호관 실습실에서 컴퓨터공학전공 및 인공지능공학전공 재학생 19명을 대상으로 ‘SW 기업 멘토형 실전 산학 아카데미 3기’를 성공적으로 운영했다고 밝혔다.

이번 아카데미는 AWS와 SAS의 까다로운 심사를 통과해 공식 협력기업으로 등록된 호남 유일의 기업, 다온플레이스㈜(대표 박주현)와의 협력을 통해 운영되었다. 특히 AWS(아마존웹서비스)와 SAS 글로벌 본사에서 직접 선발한 최고 수준의 AI 전문 강사진이 참여해, 국제 기준에 부합하는 집중 AI 실무 교육이 이뤄졌다.

참가 학생들은 AWS AIF-C01(AWS Certified AI Practitioner) 과정과 클라우드 기반의 AI·ML 실습을 수행했으며, SAS AutoML을 활용한 고급 데이터 분석 프로젝트도 함께 진행했다. 이를 통해 이론 중심의 교육을 넘어, 현장 중심의 실무형 AI 실습과 포트폴리오 제작까지 폭넓게 경험했다.

심춘보 SW중심대학사업단장은 “글로벌 AI 산업 현장에서 경쟁력을 갖춘 인재를 양성하는 것은 사업단의 핵심 목표중 하나”라며, “앞으로도 AWS, SAS와 같은 세계적 기업과의 협력을 통해 차별화된 AI 교육을 지속 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

 다온플레이스(주) 박주현 대표 또한 “AWS와 SAS 양분야에서 공식 인증을 받은 호남 유일의 기업으로서, 국립순천대 학생들이 글로벌 AI 자격을 취득하고 현장 실무 역량을 대학에서부터 키워나갈 수 있도록 지속적인 협력을 이어가겠다”고 전했다.

한편, 국립순천대학교 SW중심대학사업은 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신기획평가원(IITP)의 지원을 받아 전라남도, 순천시·광양시·고흥군이 함께 참여하고 있으며, 지역 내 SW 가치 확산을 위한 다양한 교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.

SCNU Concludes 3rd Industry-Academia AI Academy in Partnership with Daonplace

Hands-on training in AWS and SAS offered through global certification tracks

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Software-Centered University Project Group (SCUP) successfully conducted the 3rd cohort of the “Industry-Mentored Practical AI Academy” from July 2 (Wednesday) to July 4 (Friday) at the College of Engineering Building 3. A total of 19 students majoring in Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Engineering participated in the three-day program.

The academy was held in collaboration with Daonplace Co., Ltd., the only official AWS and SAS-certified partner company in the Honam region. Notably, top-tier instructors selected directly by the global headquarters of AWS (Amazon Web Services) and SAS provided advanced AI training aligned with global industry standards.

Participants completed the AWS AIF-C01 (AWS Certified AI Practitioner) course and conducted cloud-based AI/ML hands-on projects. They also engaged in advanced data analytics using SAS AutoML, focusing on practical applications and portfolio development to build competitive job-readiness for global AI markets.

Shim Choon-bo, Director of the SCUP, stated, “One of our key goals is to cultivate students who possess practical AI skills that meet global market demands. We will continue to expand differentiated AI education by working with leading companies such as AWS and SAS.”

Park Ju-hyun, CEO of Daonplace Co., Ltd., added, “As the only company in the Honam region officially certified by both AWS and SAS, we are committed to helping SCNU students acquire globally recognized AI certifications and build real-world competencies during their university years.”

The SCNU Software-Centered University Project is supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP), in partnership with Jeollanam-do Province, Suncheon City, Gwangyang City, and Goheung County. The project continues to deliver various programs aimed at spreading the value of software education throughout the region.
