- 전공 맞춤 면접·비자 상담·이미지 컨설팅 등 실전 취업 지원 프로그램 참여

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 지난 5월 19일 서울 코엑스에서 열린‘2025 GLOBAL TALENT FAIR 외국인유학생 채용박람회’에 참가해, 국내 취업을 희망하는 외국인 유학생들에게 국내 채용 현장을 직접 경험할 수 있는 기회를 제공하며 큰 호응을 얻었다고 밝혔다.

이번 박람회에서는 외국인 유학생들이 전공과 연계된 직무 이해도를 높일 수 있도록 ▲현장 국내기업 채용 면접 ▲취업 서류 및 이미지 컨설팅 ▲외국인 체류 비자 상담 등 다양한 체험 프로그램을 통해 실절적인 취업 정보를 제공했다.

박람회에 앞서 지난 5월 16일에는 학내 글로벌카페에서 채용박람회 참가 유학생들을 대상으로 전문가 초청 취업 특강을 진행했다. 이날 특강에서는 국내 주요 기업의 채용 정보와 함께, 외국인 유학생 전용 취업비자(전남도 지역특화형 비자 등)에 대한 안내, 입사지원서·이력서·자기소개서 작성법 등 실전 중심의 컨설팅 프로그램이 제공됐다.

서강석 국제교류교육본부장은“외국인 유학생들의 국내 취업 및 정주 지원을 위해 기업탐방, 채용박람회 참관, 국제교류의 날, 한국문화체험 등 다양한 지원 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영하고 있다”며, “앞으로도 입학부터 학업, 취업, 정착까지 유학생들이 안정적으로 한국 생활을 이어갈 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 전했다.

Sunchon National University Participates in 2025 GLOBAL TALENT FAIR to Support International Students’ Employment in Korea

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that it participated in the 2025 GLOBAL TALENT FAIR for International Students, held on May 19 at COEX in Seoul. The university provided international students aspiring to work in Korea with an opportunity to experience the domestic job market firsthand, receiving enthusiastic responses from attendees.

At the fair, a variety of experiential programs were offered to help students better understand job roles related to their majors. These included on-site interviews with domestic companies, consultation on job application documents and personal presentation, and visa counseling tailored to international students.

Ahead of the fair, a special employment lecture was held on May 16 at the university’s Global Caf? for students planning to attend the event. The lecture featured experts who provided in-depth guidance on the latest hiring trends at major Korean companies, information on employment visa options specifically for international students (such as the Jeollanam-do regional specialized visa), and practical training on writing resumes, cover letters, and self-introduction essays.

Seo Kang-seok, Director of the Office of International Affairs, stated, “We are continuously operating a range of support programs to assist international students in finding employment and settling in Korea. These include company visits, job fair participation, International Exchange Day events, and cultural immersion experiences.” He added, “We will continue to provide comprehensive support from admission and academic life to employment and settlement, helping international students build a stable life in Korea.”
