- 전국 900여 명 참여한 대규모 융합 교육 캠프… 진로 탐색과 융복합 사고력 강화

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 지난 7월 8일(화)부터 11일(금)까지 3박 4일간 경주 라한셀렉트 호텔에서 열린 ‘2025 HUSS 융합캠프 아카데미’에 참가했다고 밝혔다.

‘HUSS 융합캠프 아카데미’는 교육부와 한국연구재단이 주최·주관하는 전국 단위 캠프형 융합교육 프로그램으로, ‘인문사회의 지혜가 세상을 바꾼다’를 슬로건으로 전국 41개 대학, 50개 HUSS 사업단 소속 학생과 교직원 900여 명이 함께했다.

이번 캠프에 참가한 국립순천대 위험사회 HUSS 사업단 소속 참여 학생 16명은 ▲HUSS 전문 융합강좌 ▲COSS 연계 첨단분야 특강 ▲명사 초청 강연 등 다양한 융복합 교육 콘텐츠를 수강하며 인문사회와 과학기술에 대한 통섭적 이해를 넓혔다. 또한 ‘HUSS 골든벨’, ‘홍보 아이디어 공모전’, ‘경주 탐방 인사이트’ 등 다채로운 프로그램을 통해 타 대학 학생들과 활발한 교류의 시간을 가졌다.

부대행사로는 ▲모의 면접 컨설팅 ▲취업 사진 촬영 ▲퍼스널 컬러 진단 ▲타로 진로상담 ▲이미지 메이킹 체험 등 진로 탐색과 자기계발에 실질적인 도움이 되는 체험형 프로그램도 함께 운영되어 참여 학생들의 호응을 얻었다.

캠프에 참여한 행정학과 4학년 정은서 학생은 “타 대학 학생들과 우수한 강의를 함께 수강하며 다양한 시각을 공유할 수 있어 매우 인상 깊었다”며, “이번 캠프를 통해 학문 간 융합의 중요성을 직접 체감했고, 진로에 대한 확신도 더욱 강해졌다”고 소감을 전했다.

한편, 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 오는 8월 18일부터 20일까지 곤지암리조트에서 개최되는 ‘HUSS 융합캠프 인사이트’ 행사에도 참가할 예정이다. 해당 행사는 ▲해커톤 경진대회 ▲숏폼 공모전 ▲AI 경진대회 등으로 구성되어, 학생들의 창의적 융합 사고력과 문제해결 역량 강화를 목표로 한다.

국립순천대 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 앞으로도 융합형 교육 활동에 지속적으로 참여하여, 인문사회 기반의 문제 해결 역량과 첨단 기술 이해를 갖춘 미래 융합인재 양성에 더욱 박차를 가할 계획이다.

SCNU HUSS Project Group Participates in 2025 HUSS Convergence Camp Academy

National-scale convergence education program with 900 students and staff fosters creativity, career exploration, and interdisciplinary thinking

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its “HUSS for Risk Society” Project Group participated in the 2025 HUSS Convergence Camp Academy held from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11 at Lahan Select Hotel in Gyeongju.

The Convergence Camp Academy is a nationwide convergence education program hosted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea. Held under the slogan “The Wisdom of the Humanities and Social Sciences Changes the World,” the event brought together more than 900 students and staff from 50 HUSS project groups across 41 universities in Korea.

A total of 16 students from SCNU’s HUSS Project Group took part in the program, attending a variety of convergence education sessions including ▲specialized HUSS convergence lectures, ▲cutting-edge technology lectures linked to the COSS program, and ▲guest lectures by distinguished speakers. Through these programs, participants deepened their interdisciplinary understanding of the humanities, social sciences, and science and technology. They also engaged in meaningful exchanges with students from other universities through interactive programs such as the “HUSS Golden Bell” quiz, the “Promotional Idea Contest,” and the “Gyeongju Insight Tour.”

In addition to the core educational content, the camp featured a variety of hands-on programs designed to support students’ personal development and career planning. These included ▲mock interview consulting, ▲professional ID photo shoots, ▲personal color diagnosis, ▲career tarot counseling, and ▲image-making workshops.

Jeong Eun-seo, a senior in Public Administration who attended the camp, shared her impressions: “It was a truly memorable experience to attend high-quality lectures alongside students from other universities and to gain new perspectives. This camp helped me truly understand the importance of academic convergence and gave me stronger confidence in my career path.”

SCNU’s HUSS Project Group is also scheduled to participate in the upcoming “HUSS Convergence Camp Insight,” to be held from August 18 to 20 at Konjiam Resort. This follow-up event will feature ▲a hackathon competition, ▲a short-form video contest, and ▲an AI challenge, all designed to enhance participants’ creative thinking and problem-solving skills through convergence.

The HUSS Project Group at SCNU plans to continue active participation in convergence-based education programs to foster future talent equipped with both humanities-based problem-solving skills and an understanding of advanced technologies.
