- 대학 전공 연계 진로 체험 프로그램 지원부터 교육발전특구 연계 문화콘텐츠 교육까지... 인프라 공유·정책 연계 본격화

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)와 순천교육지원청(교육장 허동균)은 29일 대학 본부 대회의실에서 지역 균형 발전과 미래 인재 육성을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

양 기관은 인적·물적 자원과 인프라를 공유하고, 상호 유기적인 연대를 강화하여 지역 기반의 지속 가능한 진로 교육 환경을 조성하고자 한다. 이번 협약을 통해 보다 체계적이고 효율적인 교육 지원 체계가 구축될 것으로 기대된다.

업무협약의 주요 내용은 △정주형 지역 인재 양성을 위한 진로 교육 환경 구축 △전공 연계 진로 체험 프로그램 지원 △대학 캠퍼스 진로 탐방 프로그램 지원 △학과 교수 및 전공 학생의 멘토링 지원 △애니메이션·문화콘텐츠스쿨 연계 지역 문화콘텐츠 진로 프로그램 지원 등이다.

국립순천대 입학처와 순천교육지원청 중등교육팀은 실무협의를 통해 지역 중학생을 위한 대학방문형 진로 체험 프로그램을 구성하고, 오는 7월 중 운영할 예정이다. 또한 애니메이션·문화콘텐츠스쿨과 연계하여 웹툰, 영상 제작 등 콘텐츠 제작 관련 교육도 진행할 계획이다. 이를 통해 순천시 초·중등 교육과정 내 진로 교육을 보완하고, 다양한 전공을 탐색할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다.

국립순천대 이병운 총장은 “학생들이 전공 체험을 통해 자신의 적성과 진로를 주체적으로 탐색할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”며, “글로컬대학으로서 고교 대상 맞춤형 프로그램에 이어 중학생 대상으로도 전공 체험 및 교육 콘텐츠를 확대하여, 지역사회 교육 발전에 적극 기여할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Sunchon National University and Suncheon Office of Education Sign MOU for Regional Talent Development

- Establishing a Sustainable Career Education Environment through University-Community Collaboration

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) and the Suncheon Office of Education (Superintendent Heo Dong-gyun) announced that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on April 29 at the University Headquarters' conference room to promote balanced regional development and cultivate future talents. 

Through this agreement, the two institutions will share human and material resources and infrastructure, strengthening organic cooperation to build a sustainable career education environment rooted in the region and establish a more efficient educational support system. The agreement includes initiatives such as building a career education environment to nurture local talents who will remain in the region, supporting career exploration programs linked to university majors, operating campus career exploration programs, providing mentoring by university professors and students, and collaborating with the Animation and Cultural Contents School to offer cultural content-related career programs. 

Based on detailed working-level discussions between Sunchon National University's Office of Admissions and the Suncheon Office of Education’s Secondary Education Team, the two institutions plan to operate a university visit-based career exploration program for local middle school students starting in July, and to offer content creation programs such as webtoon and video production. These initiatives aim to enhance career education within the primary and secondary school curriculum and to provide students with broader opportunities to explore diverse academic fields. 

President Lee Byung-woon stated, "We will continue to support students in proactively exploring their career paths through direct experience with university majors and to meet the educational needs of our local community. As a Glocal University, we are committed to expanding career exploration programs and educational content beyond high schools to middle school students as well, thereby fulfilling our responsibility to contribute to the development of the region."
