- 순천시 보건소·마약퇴치본부 ‘함께 한걸음센터’와 공동 캠페인 펼쳐

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 학생처 보건진료실은 지난 5일 학생회관 앞 열린광장에서 순천시 보건소 및 마약퇴치본부 ‘함께 한걸음센터’와 함께 ‘마약퇴치 캠페인 및 마약예방 부스 운영 행사’를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 대학 구성원과 지역주민을 대상으로 마약의 심각성과 예방의 필요성을 알리고, 올바른 약물 인식을 확산하기 위해 마련되었다.

캠페인 현장에서는 마약 중독의 정신적·신체적 폐해, 마약 범죄의 사회적 영향 등에 대한 안내와 함께 마약 관련 지식을 확인하는 퀴즈, 다양한 마약류 모형 전시 및 설명 등이 이루어졌다.

또한, 마약 예방 안내 책자와 마약 예방 뱃지, 음료 내 마약 성분 검출 여부를 확인할 수 있는 리트머스 검색 키트 등도 배부하여 참여자들의 이해를 도왔다.

행사에는 약 120명의 학생과 대학 구성원이 참여해 마약 예방의 중요성을 체감하는 시간을 가졌으며, 지역사회 구성원과 대학이 함께 건강한 생활 문화를 확산하는 계기가 되었다.

국립순천대학교 최수임 학생처장은 “최근 국내 마약 관련 사건이 증가하면서 예방과 경각심 제고의 필요성이 커지고 있다”라며, “지역사회와 함께하는 국립대학으로서 앞으로도 안전하고 건강한 캠퍼스와 시민 사회를 조성하는 데 적극 앞장서겠다”라고 말했다.

SCNU Health Clinic Conducts Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign in Collaboration with Local Agencies

- Joint initiative with Suncheon Public Health Center and “One Step Together” Drug Prevention Center

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Student Health Clinic held an anti-drug awareness campaign and prevention booth event on November 5 in front of the Student Union Plaza, in cooperation with the Suncheon Public Health Center and the “One Step Together” Drug Prevention Center.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness among students and local residents about the dangers of drug misuse and to promote accurate understanding and early prevention. At the event, participants received information on the psychological and physical harms of drug addiction, the social impact of drug-related crimes, and common types of illegal substances. Interactive activities such as drug knowledge quizzes and educational displays featuring drug model samples were also offered.

In addition, the clinic distributed educational brochures, anti-drug awareness pins, and simple litmus detection kits that can indicate the presence of drug substances when mixed in beverages, helping participants understand practical prevention methods.

Approximately 120 students and campus members took part in the campaign, reinforcing the importance of drug prevention and contributing to a healthier and safer local community culture.

SCNU Dean of Student Affairs Choi Soo-im stated, “With the recent rise in drug-related incidents nationwide, strengthening prevention and awareness is becoming increasingly crucial. As a national university rooted in the community, SCNU will continue to take an active role in fostering a safe and healthy campus and local society.”
