- 창업지원단 주관…창업 사업화 지원·바우처 안내·네트워킹 활동

- 지역 청년 창업가의 성공률 제고 및 지속가능한 창업 생태계 구축 기대

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 22일 교내 국제문화컨벤션관에서 전남형 청년창업사관학교 입교생을 대상으로 커넥트 데이를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

전남형 청년창업사관학교는 전라남도가 역점 추진하는 청년 창업 육성 사업으로, 에너지·우주항공·바이오·이차전지 등 지역 특화 기술 분야의 청년들이 지역에 정착해 창업할 수 있도록 단계별 맞춤형 지원을 제공한다. 창업 아이디어 구체화, 시제품 제작, 지식재산권 출원, 기업 인증, 투자 연계 등 창업 전 과정을 지원해 청년 창업가의 사업화 성공률을 높이는 데 중점을 두고 있다.

현재 전남형 청년창업사관학교에는 전남 지역 16개 대학과 기관이 참여하고 있으며, 이중에서도 국립순천대 창업지원단은 교원·재학생 창업자를 비롯해 전남 지역 만 45세 이하 청년 창업자 등 전남 최다 인원인 23명의 입교생을 보육하고 있다. 이번 커넥트 데이 행사에는 참여를 희망한 10여 명의 입교생이 참여했다.

행사는 ▲국립순천대 창업 입주공간 안내 ▲입교생 창업 사업화 지원 사업 소개 ▲바우처 사용 실무 및 유의 사항 안내 ▲액셀러레이팅 사업 안내 ▲입교생 건의사항 수렴 및 네트워킹 등으로 구성되었으며, 실질적인 창업 지원 체계를 공유하는 자리로 진행됐다. 입교생들은 실무자와 직접 교류하며 창업 과정에 필요한 현실적 조언과 협력 기반을 넓히고, 전남형 청년창업사관학교의 운영 방향과 지원 체계를 보다 명확히 이해하는 계기가 되었다.

최정민 창업지원단장은 “이번 커넥트 데이를 통해 입교생들이 창업사업화 지원 체계와 활용 방안을 더욱 심층적으로 이해하고, 상호 협력과 교류를 기반으로 지속가능한 창업 생태계를 함께 구축해 나가기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

SCNU Hosts “Connect Day” for Jeonnam Youth Startup Academy Participants

- Organized by the Startup Support Center to provide business commercialization guidance, voucher use instructions, and networking opportunities

- Aims to boost the success rate of young entrepreneurs and build a sustainable local start-up ecosystem

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that on September 22 it held a Connect Day event at its International Culture Convention Center for participants of the Jeonnam Youth Startup Academy.

The Jeonnam Youth Startup Academy is a key initiative of Jeollanam-do Province to foster young entrepreneurs in regionally specialized technology fields such as energy, aerospace, bio, and secondary batteries. The academy provides step-by-step, customized support?from refining business ideas and producing prototypes to filing intellectual property rights, obtaining corporate certification, and linking investment opportunities?to increase the success rate of business commercialization for young entrepreneurs.

Currently, 16 universities and institutions in Jeonnam participate in the program. Among them, SCNU’s Startup Support Center supports 23 incubating entrepreneurs?the largest number in the province?including faculty, student entrepreneurs, and local youth under the age of 45. About ten of these participants took part in this Connect Day event.

The program included an introduction to SCNU’s on-campus start-up incubation facilities, guidance on business commercialization support projects and voucher usage, explanations of key administrative details, an accelerator program briefing, and a session to gather suggestions from participants. The event provided practical information on start-up support systems while enabling participants to interact directly with professionals, gain essential advice for their entrepreneurial journeys, and better understand the operational direction and support framework of the Jeonnam Youth Startup Academy.

Choi Jeong-min, Head of SCNU’s Startup Support Center, stated, “We hope this Connect Day will help participants gain a deeper understanding of start-up commercialization support systems and how to utilize them effectively, while fostering collaboration and exchange to build a sustainable start-up ecosystem together.”
