- 9월 19~22일, 순천문화예술회관서 10년 서예 여정 공개

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 평생교육원 서예과정 수강생인 효정(曉庭) 황옥심 선생이 서예 여정을 집대성한 개인전을 오는 9월 19일부터 22일까지 순천문화예술회관 전시실에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.

황옥심 선생은 국립순천대 평생교육원에서 꾸준히 서예를 공부하며 근로자 서예 작품 공모 입선을 시작으로 대한민국미술대전 등 다수의 공모전에서 수상하는 등 우수한 성과를 거뒀다. 현재는 대한민국미술대전 초대작가로 활동하며, 각종 서예대회 심사위원을 맡아 후학 양성에도 힘쓰고 있다.

문승태 평생교육원장은 “이번 전시는 황 선생님의 지난 서예 여정을 돌아보고 앞으로 펼쳐질 새로운 장을 여는 뜻깊은 시간이 되기를 바란다”며 “10년 넘게 정진해온 개인전은 다른 수강생들에게도 좋은 귀감이 될 것”이라고 말했다. 이어 “앞으로도 국립순천대 평생교육원에 대한 지역민들의 지속적인 관심과 지지를 부탁드린다”고 덧붙였다.

한편, 국립순천대 평생교육원은 평생학습시대에 부응하여 지역민들의 다양한 학습 욕구 충족과 자기계발 기회 확대를 위해 지역 맞춤형 평생교육과정을 운영하고 있다. 특히 「서예 과정」은 2012년 개설 이후 꾸준히 운영되고 있는 인기 과정으로, 현재는 박경순 강사가 지도를 맡고 있다.

“Embodying the Path of Calligraphy” ? SCNU Lifelong Education Center Hosts Solo Exhibition by Hyojeong Hwang Ok-sim

- September 19?22 at Suncheon Culture and Arts Center, showcasing a decade-long journey in calligraphy

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that Hyojeong (曉庭) Hwang Ok-sim, a calligraphy student at the SCNU Lifelong Education Center, will hold a solo exhibition summarizing her 10-year journey in calligraphy. The exhibition will be held from September 19 to 22 at the Suncheon Culture and Arts Center.

Hwang has studied calligraphy consistently at the SCNU Lifelong Education Center and has achieved notable recognition, beginning with her award-winning entry in the Workers’ Calligraphy Competition and later receiving honors in numerous contests, including the Korea Art Exhibition. She currently serves as an invited artist of the Korea Art Exhibition and as a judge for various calligraphy competitions, while also dedicating herself to nurturing younger artists.

Moon Seung-tae, Dean of the Lifelong Education Center, stated, “This exhibition will not only reflect on Ms. Hwang’s journey in calligraphy but also open a meaningful new chapter in her artistic career. Her solo exhibition, the culmination of more than ten years of dedication, will serve as an inspiring example for other students as well. We ask for the continued support and interest of the local community in the programs offered by SCNU’s Lifelong Education Center.”

Meanwhile, the SCNU Lifelong Education Center continues to offer customized lifelong education programs tailored to the needs of local residents, providing diverse opportunities for learning and self-development. The Calligraphy Program, in particular, has been one of the center’s most popular courses since its establishment in 2012 and is currently taught by instructor Park Kyung-soon.
