70m 싱글에서 금·은 나란히 차지 … 개인전·단체전까지 두루 석권

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 양궁팀이 지난 8월 25일부터 30일까지 충북 청주 김수녕양궁장에서 열린 ‘제42회 회장기 전국대학·실업양궁대회’에서 금메달 1개, 은메달 2개, 동메달 1개 등 총 4개의 메달을 획득하며 우수한 성과를 거뒀다.

여자 70m 싱글 종목에서는 신입생 김서하(1학년)가 342점으로 금메달을, 서보은(3학년)이 341점으로 은메달을 차지하며 기분 좋은 출발을 보였다. 이어진 개인전 본선 토너먼트에서도 서보은은 준결승까지 오르며 동메달을 추가했다.

대학부 여자 단체전에서도 국립순천대 선수들의 팀워크와 집중력이 빛났다. 탁해윤(4학년), 서보은, 김가은(2학년), 김서하가 한 팀을 이뤄 8강전에서 목원대를 6-0으로, 4강전에서 계명대를 5-1로 꺾고 결승에 올랐다. 결승전에서는 한국체대에 아쉽게 패했으나 값진 은메달을 목에 걸며 대회를 마무리했다.

국립순천대 양궁팀은 개인전과 단체전을 아우르며 총 4개의 메달을 수확, 전국 무대에서 다시 한번 ‘신궁 명문팀’의 저력을 입증했다. 김문선 양궁팀 지도자는 “선수들이 자신감과 실전 경험을 쌓을 수 있는 기회였다”라며, “다가오는 제106회 전국체육대회에서도 최상의 기량을 발휘할 수 있도록, 선수단의 컨디션 관리와 훈련에 매진할 것”이라고 전했다.

한편, 국립순천대학교는 대학 스포츠를 통한 학생 역량 강화와 지역 스포츠 저변 확대를 위해 체계적인 훈련 환경을 조성하는 등 양궁팀을 비롯한 체육팀에 지속해서 관심과 격려를 이어갈 계획이다.

SCNU Archery Team Secures Four Medals at the 42nd National Collegiate & Business Archery Championship

- Gold and Silver in 70m Singles, plus medals in Individual and Team Events

The archery team of Sunchon National University (SCNU) achieved outstanding results at the 42nd National Collegiate & Business Archery Championship, held from August 25 to 30 at the Kim Soo-nyeong Archery Field in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. SCNU athletes won a total of four medals: one gold, two silver, and one bronze.

In the women’s 70m single event, freshman Kim Seo-ha claimed the gold medal with a score of 342, while junior Seo Bo-eun followed with 341 points to secure the silver medal. Seo also reached the semifinals in the individual tournament, adding a bronze medal to her record.

The women’s team event further highlighted SCNU’s collective strength. Tak Hae-yoon (senior), Seo Bo-eun, Kim Ga-eun (sophomore), and Kim Seo-ha advanced to the finals after defeating Mokwon University 6-0 in the quarterfinals and Keimyung University 5-1 in the semifinals. Although they fell to Korea National Sport University in the final, they proudly secured the silver medal.

With medals spanning both individual and team categories, the SCNU archery team once again demonstrated its reputation as a powerhouse in collegiate archery.

Head coach Kim Moon-sun commented, “This tournament gave our athletes valuable experience and confidence. We will continue preparing intensively so the team can deliver its best performance at the upcoming 106th National Sports Festival.”
