“작은 나눔, 큰 기쁨! 지금 바로 기부 ME!” … 총장부터 시작된 기부 릴레이

간편 결제로 누구나 참여하는 소액 기부 문화 확산…장학·학생복지·교육환경 개선에 활용

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)가 전남권 대학 최초로 캠퍼스 내 '기부 키오스크'를 설치하고, 일상에서 누구나 쉽게 참여할 수 있는 소액 기부 문화를 확산해 나간다.

기부 키오스크는 9월 1일(월) 오전 10시 30분, 대학 본부 1층 명예의 전당에서 열린 오픈식을 통해 처음 공개됐다. 이 자리에는 이병운 총장을 비롯한 대학 보직자, 직원연합회장, 총학생회장 등 대학 구성원 대표들이 함께 참석해 따뜻한 기부 문화 정착을 다짐했다.

이번에 설치된 키오스크는 체크카드, 신용카드, 삼성페이 등 간편 결제 수단을 활용해 최소 1만 원부터 누구나 쉽게 기부할 수 있도록 설계됐다. 교직원과 재학생은 물론, 대학을 찾은 외부 방문객도 별도의 절차 없이 간단한 터치만으로 기부에 참여할 수 있으며, 모금된 기부금은 장학금, 교육·연구 환경 개선, 학생복지 증진 등 대학 발전을 위한 다양한 분야에 투명하게 활용될 예정이다.

이날 오픈식 현장에서는 이병운 총장이 1호 기부자로 나서며 ‘기부천사’ 릴레이의 출발을 알렸다. 이병운 총장은 “대학에 대한 애정을 담은 소중한 기부에 항상 감사드린다.”라며, “교직원과 학생, 지역사회가 함께 만들어가는 따뜻한 나눔이 우리 대학의 긍정적 변화를 이끌 것”이라고 소감을 밝혔다.

국립순천대학교는 기부 키오스크 설치를 계기로 소액도 부담 없이 참여할 수 있는 기부 문화를 캠퍼스 전반으로 확산하고, 자발적 참여를 통해 기부에 대한 긍정적 인식을 높여 나갈 계획이다.

또한, 기부자가 영수증을 지참해 (재)순천대학교 발전지원재단 사무실을 방문하면 감사의 뜻을 담은 소정의 기념품을 제공하며, 향후 다양한 참여 이벤트를 이어가며 따뜻한 나눔 문화 정착에 힘쓸 예정이다.

Sunchon National University Introduces First “Donation Kiosk” Among Universities in Jeonnam

Sunchon National University (President Byoung-Woon Lee) has become the first university in the Jeonnam region to introduce a “Donation Kiosk” on campus, aiming to spread a culture of small, accessible giving that anyone can easily participate in during their daily lives.

The kiosk was officially unveiled on September 1 at 10:30 a.m. during an opening ceremony held in the Hall of Fame on the first floor of the university’s main building. The event was attended by President Lee, senior administrators, the staff association chair, and the student council president, who together pledged to foster a culture of warmhearted giving.

The kiosk is designed to make donations simple, starting from as little as KRW 10,000, using debit cards, credit cards, or Samsung Pay. Not only faculty and students but also external visitors can easily donate with just a single touch, without any complicated procedures. All contributions will be transparently used to support scholarships, improve educational and research facilities, and enhance student welfare.

At the opening, President Lee participated as the first donor, marking the start of a “donation relay.” He remarked, “We are deeply grateful for every contribution made with love for the university. These small acts of giving, shared by our faculty, students, and community, will inspire positive change throughout the campus.”

By installing the donation kiosk, SCNU seeks to establish a culture of everyday giving that is both easy and meaningful, while promoting positive perceptions of philanthropy through voluntary participation.

Additionally, donors who bring their receipt to the Sunchon National University Development Foundation office will receive a small token of appreciation. The university also plans to hold a series of engagement events to further strengthen and spread this culture of warmhearted giving.
