- ‘신뢰성과 정체성 위기 시대의 다층적·다원적 문해력’ 주제로 열려

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 위험사회 컨소시엄 인문사회융합인재양성사업단(이하 ‘위험사회 HUSS 사업단’)은 지난 8월 23일부터 24일까지 양일간 「2025 제2차 HUSS 융합인재 학술대회」를 성황리에 개최했다. 이번 학술대회는 국어교육학회가 주최하고, 위험사회 HUSS 사업단이 국어교육과 및 국제한국어교육학과와 공동으로 주관했다.

‘신뢰성과 정체성 위기 시대의 다층적·다원적 문해력’을 주제로 열린 이번 행사는 초연결사회가 요구하는 융합형 사고력과 실천 역량에 대한 학문적 논의를 통해 인문사회 융합형 인재 양성의 필요성과 방향을 모색하는 자리로 마련되었다.

행사는 국립순천대학교 사범대학 1호관에서 열렸으며, 교수·연구자·대학원생 등 약 80명이 참석해 다양한 발표와 토론을 이어갔다. 주요 프로그램은 ▲개인 발표 ▲기조 강연 ▲주제 발표 ▲HUSS 연구 성과 전시 ▲순천 기행 등으로 구성되었다.

23일 1부 개인 발표 세션에서는 ‘현대 문화와 문학 교육’, ‘인공지능과 교육 평가’ 등 네 개 분과로 나뉘어 다양한 시각의 연구 성과가 공유되었다. 이어진 2부 기조 강연에서는 오연주 박사(한국지능정보사회진흥원)가 ‘탈진실 시대의 문해력’을 류영휘 교수(광주교육대학교)가 ‘문화 감응 수업’을 주제로 발표해 주목을 받았다.

3부 주제 발표에서는 디지털 문해력, 생성형 AI 시대의 국어과 교육과정, 다중언어성 탐구 등 최근 교육 현장의 주요 이슈를 중심으로 전문가 발표와 토론이 진행되었으며, 교육적·사회적 쟁점에 대한 다각도의 논의가 이루어졌다.

특히 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 ‘≪사회와 잇다≫: 실천하는 지성의 전시’와 ‘≪잇는 사람들≫: 인문·사회 실천 캠페인’ 등 부대 행사를 기획·운영하며, 연구 성과와 교육 실천 활동을 집약해 선보였고, 이를 통해 인문사회 기반 융합 교육의 실천 가능성을 참석자들과 공유하는 의미 있는 자리를 마련했다.

24일에는 순천만 습지와 순천문학관을 중심으로 한 ‘순천 기행’ 프로그램이 운영되어 참가자들이 지역의 문화와 생태를 체험하며 인문적 상상력을 확장하는 시간을 가졌다.

위험사회 HUSS 사업단 김선명 단장은 “이번 학술대회는 초연결사회가 요구하는 교육의 방향성을 모색하고, 실제 적용 가능성을 제시한 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “앞으로도 학생들이 실천적 지성과 융합 역량을 키울 수 있도록 지속적인 교육 기반을 마련해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 향후에도 융합인재 양성을 위한 교육 활동을 이어가며, 지역과 함께 성장하는 인문사회 교육 생태계 조성에 힘쓸 예정이다.

SCNU HUSS Program Hosts 2025 2nd Convergence Talent Conference

- Held under the theme “Multilayered and Plural Literacy in the Era of Crisis of Trust and Identity”

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that the HUSS Program for Humanities and Social Sciences in Risk Society successfully hosted the 2025 2nd Convergence Talent Conference on August 23?24. The event was organized in collaboration with the Korean Language Education Association, with support from SCNU’s Department of Korean Language Education and the Department of International Korean Language Education.

The conference brought together about 80 participants, including professors, researchers, and graduate students, at SCNU’s College of Education. With the theme “Multilayered and Plural Literacy in the Era of Crisis of Trust and Identity”, the event explored the educational and social challenges of a hyperconnected society and sought pathways for fostering convergence-oriented talent in the humanities and social sciences.

Key programs included individual paper presentations, keynote lectures, thematic sessions, an exhibition of HUSS research achievements, and a field trip in Suncheon. On the first day, presentations covered topics such as modern culture and literature education, as well as AI and educational assessment. Keynote speakers Dr. Yeonju Oh (National Information Society Agency) and Professor Younghwi Ryu (Gwangju National University of Education) delivered talks on “Literacy in the Post-Truth Era” and “Culturally Responsive Teaching”, respectively.

Thematic sessions addressed digital literacy, curriculum design for Korean language education in the era of generative AI, and multilingualism studies, sparking lively discussion on pressing educational and societal issues. Alongside the academic sessions, the HUSS Program also organized exhibitions such as “Connecting with Society: The Practice of Intellectual Engagement” and campaigns showcasing practical applications of humanities-based education.

On the second day, participants joined a cultural field trip to Suncheon Bay Wetlands and the Suncheon Literature Museum, providing an opportunity to connect ecological and cultural experiences with academic reflection.

Professor Sunmyung Kim, Director of the SCNU HUSS Program, remarked: “This conference was a meaningful occasion to present educational models aligned with the demands of a hyperconnected society. It offered students valuable opportunities to cultivate practical intelligence and convergence capabilities, which will continue to be fostered through our future programs.”

Looking ahead, the SCNU HUSS Program will continue to expand its educational activities to nurture convergence talent and build a sustainable humanities and social sciences ecosystem that grows together with the local community.
