- VDI 기반 개인 맞춤형 클라우드 환경 제공 … 지역 캠퍼스에서도 본교와 동일한 교육·업무 가능 -

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 글로컬대학30 사업의 일환으로 ‘지산학 캠퍼스 연계망’ 구축을 완료했다고 밝혔다. 이를 통해 고흥, 광양, 순천 등 지역 곳곳에 위치한 지산학 캠퍼스에서도 본교와 동일한 교육·업무 환경을 이용할 수 있게 됐다.

이번 성과를 위해 국립순천대 정보전산원(원장 심현)은 ‘VDI(가상 데스크톱 인프라)’ 기반 개인 맞춤형 클라우드 환경을 구축했다. 권한을 부여받은 학생과 교직원은 언제 어디서나 노트북이나 PC 등 개인 기기로 네트워크에 접속해 본교와 같은 시스템을 활용할 수 있으며, 문제 발생 시 원격 관리로 신속한 대응도 가능하다.

국립순천대는 지난 8월 14일 ‘지산학 캠퍼스 연계망 구축 완료 간담회’를 열고, 성과를 공유하고 활용 방안을 논의했다. 간담회에는 △그린스마트팜스쿨(고흥) △우주항공·첨단소재스쿨(광양) △애니메이션·문화콘텐츠스쿨(순천) 등 전남 여러 지역에 구축된 지산학 캠퍼스 관계자들이 참석했다.

국립순천대 심현 정보전산원장은 “지역 캠퍼스에서도 본교와 동일한 환경을 제공하게 된 것은 교육 접근성과 효율성 측면에서 큰 의미가 있다”라며, “앞으로도 현장의 불편 사항을 꾸준히 점검하고 개선하겠다”고 말했다.

국립순천대학교는 앞으로도 글로컬대학30 정책 방향에 맞춰 지자체와 산업체와 협력하며, 지산학 캠퍼스를 기반으로 한 다양한 공동 프로젝트를 지원할 계획이다.

Sunchon National University Completes ‘Jisan-Hak Campus Network’ under the Glocal University 30 Project

- Personalized VDI-based cloud environment enables local campuses to access the same education and work systems as the main campus

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that it has completed the establishment of the Jisan-Hak Campus Network as part of the Glocal University 30 Project. With this development, Jisan-Hak campuses located in Goheung, Gwangyang, and Suncheon can now access the same educational and administrative environment as the main campus.

To achieve this, the University’s Information & Computing Center (Director Shim Hyun) implemented a personalized cloud environment based on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). This system allows students and faculty to log in anytime, anywhere via laptops or PCs, ensuring access to the same resources as on the main campus. In addition, remote management enables swift troubleshooting and increases operational efficiency.

On August 14, Sunchon National University hosted a meeting to share the results and discuss future applications of the newly completed network. The event was attended by representatives from the Green Smart Farm School (Goheung), Aerospace & Advanced Materials School (Gwangyang), and Animation & Cultural Contents School (Suncheon), which are part of the University’s regional Jisan-Hak campuses.

Director Shim Hyun stated, “Providing the same environment at local campuses as at the main campus is highly meaningful in terms of educational accessibility and efficiency. We will continue to monitor on-site needs and make improvements where necessary.”

Moving forward, Sunchon National University plans to further align with the Glocal University 30 policy framework, working with local governments and industries to support a variety of collaborative projects utilizing the Jisan-Hak campuses.
