- 공동 비전·책임 의식 공유… 지역 균형발전과 현안 해결 앞장 

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 지역혁신중심대학지원체계(RISE·라이즈)사업단(이하 라이즈사업단)은 13일 대학 본부 회의실에서 전남 동부권 6개 대학과 함께 ‘시군 동반성장 프로젝트’ 1차 회의를 개최하고, 지역 균형발전과 공동 현안 해결을 위한 협력 체계 구축에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

이번 회의에는 전남 동부권 라이즈사업 수행 대학인 국립순천대, 전남대 여수캠퍼스, 순천제일대, 청암대, 한영대, 광양보건대 사업단장 등 관계자 20여 명이 참석했다.

참석자들은 ▲지역별 추진 현황 보고 ▲우수사례 공유 ▲공동 협력사업 발굴 ▲RISE 성과 관리계획 등 세부 사항을 공유하고, 시군 간 상생 방안도 심도 있게 논의했다. 특히 이번 회의에서는 지역 자원의 효율적 활용과 인프라 연계를 통한 균형발전 필요성에 공감대를 형성하고, 정기 협의체 운영과 공동 사업 추진을 지속하기로 뜻을 모았다.

국립순천대 오현민 라이즈사업단 부단장은 “전남 동부권 라이즈사업 참여대학이 지역 현안을 적극 발굴하고, 문제 해결과 균형발전에 앞장설 수 있도록 교육·연구·산학협력 전반에서 긴밀하게 협력해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.

SCNU RISE Center Launches “City-County Co-Growth Project” with Six Universities in Eastern Jeonnam

- Shared Vision and Responsibility to Drive Regional Balanced Development and Tackle Local Challenges

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Regional Innovation-led University Support System (RISE) Center held the first meeting of the “City-County Co-Growth Project” on August 13 at the university’s main conference hall, together with six universities in eastern Jeollanam-do. The initiative aims to establish a collaborative framework for balanced regional development and joint problem-solving.

The meeting brought together more than 20 representatives, including heads of RISE centers from six participating institutions: SCNU, Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus, Suncheon Jeil University, Chunnam Techno University, Hanyeong College, and Gwangyang Health Sciences College.

Participants shared updates on regional project progress, presented best practices, explored opportunities for joint collaborative projects, and discussed RISE performance management plans. They also emphasized the need for balanced development through efficient use of local resources and infrastructure linkages, and agreed to maintain regular consultative bodies and pursue joint initiatives.

Oh Hyun-min, Deputy Director of SCNU’s RISE Center, stated, “Through close collaboration across education, research, and industry-academia cooperation, participating universities in eastern Jeonnam will take the lead in identifying local issues and advancing balanced regional development.”
