- 하계 표준현장실습학기제 참여 학생 대상, 소셜 비즈니스 사례 통해 실천 전략과 문제해결 역량 강화

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 위험사회 컨소시엄 인문사회융합인재양성사업단(이하 ‘위험사회 HUSS 사업단’)은 지난 7월 25일, ‘사회문제를 해결하는 소셜 비즈니스 모델과 전략’을 주제로 2025학년도 제3차 전문가 특강을 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 특강은 하계 계절학기 ‘표준현장실습학기제’에 참여하는 재학생 14명을 대상으로 열렸으며, 순천시 사회적경제통합지원센터 이광태 센터장을 초청해 진행됐다.

이광태 센터장은 초연결사회에서 사회문제가 실시간으로 확산되는 현실을 짚으며, 사람 중심의 경제활동인 사회적경제의 중요성과 이에 대한 실천적 접근의 필요성을 강조했다. 특히 다양한 사회적 기업의 실제 사례를 통해 소셜 비즈니스가 지역사회에 어떻게 기여하고 있는지를 소개하며 학생들의 공감을 이끌어냈다.

이번 특강에 참여한 14명의 학생들은 각각 14개 지역 기업과 매칭되어, 오는 8월 한 달간 현장실습을 앞두고 있다. 이번 프로그램은 실습에 앞서 사회적 가치와 비즈니스 전략에 대해 미리 고민해 보고, 실무 현장에서 마주할 수 있는 사회적 과제에 대한 대응력을 키우는 계기가 되었다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

행정학과 정은서 학생은 “사회적경제가 위험사회에서 수행하는 핵심적인 역할과 그 필요성에 대해 깊이 고민해 볼 수 있는 시간이었다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 또한 국어교육과 박하헌 학생은 “빠르게 변화하는 소비 동향을 보면서 초연결사회에 맞는 e-커머스 전략과 마케팅 방식이 필요하다는 걸 느꼈다”며 “실제로 적용된 마케팅 사례들이 새롭게 다가왔다”고 말했다.

김선명 위험사회 HUSS 사업단장은 “이번 특강을 통해 학생들이 위험사회의 구조에 대해 비판적 시각을 갖고, 사회문제 해결에 필요한 사고력과 실천 역량을 키우는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

한편, 위험사회 HUSS 사업단은 앞으로도 학생들이 초연결사회에서 사회적 가치를 실현할 수 있도록 다양한 실천 중심 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다. 이달 28일에는 ‘초연결사회 온라인 데이터를 활용한 상품 판매와 홍보방식’을 주제로 제4차 전문가 특강이 열릴 예정이다.

? Enhancing practical skills through social business cases for students in summer internship programs

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its HUSS (Humanities Utmost Sharing System) Project for Risk Society successfully held the 3rd expert lecture of the 2025 academic year on July 25, under the theme “Social Business Models and Strategies for Solving Social Problems.”

This lecture was offered to 14 students participating in the university’s summer “Standard Field Internship Program” and was led by Lee Gwang-tae, Director of the Suncheon Social Economy Integrated Support Center.

Director Lee addressed the growing challenges of real-time issue propagation in a hyperconnected society and emphasized the importance of social economy as a people-centered economic model. He particularly highlighted real-world examples of social enterprises and how they contribute to resolving issues within local communities, sparking active engagement from the students.

All 14 students who attended the lecture have been matched with 14 local companies and are set to begin their month-long field internships in August. The lecture served as a meaningful pre-internship opportunity for students to reflect on the values of social economy, explore strategic approaches, and strengthen their ability to address complex societal challenges in practice.

Eun-seo Jung, a student majoring in Public Administration, commented, “It was a valuable time to think deeply about the vital role and necessity of the social economy in the context of a risk society.”

Ha-heon Park, a Korean Language Education major, added, “Seeing how quickly consumer trends are changing made me realize the need for tailored e-commerce strategies in a hyperconnected world. The actual marketing case studies presented during the lecture offered fresh perspectives.”

Professor Kim Sun-myung, Director of the HUSS Project at Sunchon National University, stated, “This lecture offered students a critical lens to better understand the structure of risk society and cultivate the mindset and skills needed to actively solve real-world problems.”

The HUSS Project plans to continue offering practical and interdisciplinary programs to help students understand and implement social value in a hyperconnected society. The next expert lecture, the fourth in the series, will be held on July 28 under the theme “Marketing and Product Sales Using Online Data in a Hyperconnected Society.”
