- 10일간의 실습 중심 연수 통해 교수법·교재개발·문화체험 등 다면적 성과

… 향후 2+2 학위 연계 및 국제협력 확대 기반 마련

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 지난 7월 13일부터 22일까지 10일간 ‘2025 해외 교원 특별 연수 프로그램’을 성공적으로 운영했다고 밝혔다. 대학 캠퍼스 일원에서 진행된 이번 연수 과정에는 우즈베키스탄 현지 대학에서 초청된 외국인 교원 21명이 참여해 교육 역량을 강화하고 교류 협력 기반을 다졌다.

참여 교원들은 연수 기간 동안 최신 교수법 강의, AI 및 멀티미디어 기반 교육 실습, 한국어 교육 현장 체험, 문화 탐방 등 다양한 프로그램을 경험했다. 특히 AI 기술을 접목한 교수법 및 교재 개발 실습에 대한 현장 반응이 높았으며, 이를 통해 실용적 교수 역량을 강화하는 계기가 되었다.

또한, 교원 간 활발한 네트워킹을 통해 향후 양국 대학 간 공동 교육과정 개발, 2+2 복수학위 운영, 대학원 진학 연계 등 실질적 교류 확대 가능성도 함께 논의되었다. 참여자들은 국립순천대학교의 실습 중심 교육 인프라에 깊은 인상을 받았으며, 일부는 대학원 진학 의사를 밝히는 등 연수를 통해 교육자로서의 성장 비전을 구체화했다.

서강석 국제교류교육본부장은 “이번 프로그램이 참여 교원들의 역량 제고뿐 아니라 양국 간 교육 협력의 실질적 기반이 되기를 기대한다”며, “앞으로도 글로벌 교육 네트워크 확대를 위해 다양한 교류 사업을 적극 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립순천대학교는 이번 연수의 성과를 바탕으로 우즈베키스탄을 포함한 중앙아시아 및 기타 신흥국가와의 교육협력 사업을 지속 확대해 나갈 계획이다. 특히 정규 학위 연계, 한국어 교육 교류, 공동연구 추진 등 다층적인 국제 협력을 통해 글로벌 교육 경쟁력을 제고해 나갈 방침이다.

SCNU Successfully Hosts Special Training Program for Uzbek Educators

 - 10-day program enhances teaching skills through AI-integrated pedagogy and Korean cultural immersion; Expands groundwork for global partnerships and 2+2 degree programs

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-Woon) successfully concluded the “2025 Special Training Program for Foreign Educators,” held from July 13 to 22, welcoming 21 invited educators from Uzbekistan. The program aimed to strengthen teaching competencies while building a foundation for broader international collaboration.

During the 10-day program, participants engaged in diverse activities, including training in advanced teaching methodologies, workshops on AI and multimedia-based instruction, Korean language education observation, and cultural excursions. Notably, hands-on sessions in AI-integrated curriculum development received enthusiastic responses, helping participants enhance their instructional capacity through practical application.

The program also served as a networking platform to explore future academic exchanges such as 2+2 dual-degree programs, graduate admissions pathways, and joint curriculum development between institutions. Several participants expressed interest in pursuing graduate studies at SCNU, citing the university's strong educational infrastructure and field-oriented approach as highly impactful.

Professor Seo Kang-Seok, Director of the Office of International Affairs, stated, “We hope this program contributes meaningfully to the growth of our international partners and strengthens cooperation between SCNU and institutions in Uzbekistan. We will continue to expand global educational collaboration moving forward.”

Building on the success of this program, SCNU plans to further broaden its engagement in international education cooperation with Uzbekistan and other emerging regions. Through initiatives such as joint degree programs, Korean language and cultural exchanges, and collaborative research, SCNU aims to enhance its global competitiveness and foster sustained partnerships with educators worldwide.
