- 스마트팜 시뮬레이터 개발·맞춤형 교육과정 운영 등 산학협력 체계 강화

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 지능형 스마트농업 Grand ICT 연구센터(센터장 여현, 이하 Grand ICT 연구센터)는 지난 14일 IT 컨설팅 및 교육 콘텐츠 전문기업 ㈜메이티(대표 김택규)와‘스마트농업 관련 기술개발 및 교육 지원’을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

㈜메이티는 스마트팜 ICT 기술력으로 개발한 i-Finger edu 플랫폼을 바탕으로 복합환경제어 시뮬레이션, 양액 제어 등 농업 교육 및 컨설팅을 수행하고 있으며, 정보통신기술 기반의 다양한 사업 분야에서 역량을 인정받고 있는 강소기업이다.

이번 업무협약을 통해 양 기관은 ▲인공지능(AI) 및 관련 데이터를 활용한 시뮬레이터 개발 등 첨단 디지털 기술 분야의 발전과 교육역량 강화 ▲스마트팜 등 미래농업 교육에 필요한 학교 교육과정 운영 지원 체제 구축 ▲스마트농업 분야에서 요구하는 직무능력 향상을 위한 맞춤형 교육과정 지원 등을 중심으로 긴밀한 산학협력 체계를 구축하기로 했다.

특히 이번 협약은 스마트농업 분야 인재 양성과 산업 발전을 위한 구체적 실천 방안을 담고 있어, 향후 스마트농업 신기술 개발, 공동 연구, 교육 콘텐츠 확산 등 다양한 분야에서의 시너지가 기대된다.

국립순천대 여현 센터장은 “이번 협약이 ㈜메이티와 우리 연구센터 모두에게 스마트농업 기술 고도화와 교육역량 강화의 좋은 기회가 될 것으로 기대한다”며, “앞으로도 연구센터는 산학협력 네트워크를 지속해서 확장하고, 공동 연구를 통해 지역 및 국가 스마트농업 발전에 기여하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

? Strengthening industry-academia collaboration through smart farm simulator development and customized training programs

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Grand ICT Research Center for Intelligent Smart Agriculture (Director Yeo Hyun, hereinafter “Grand ICT Research Center”) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MATEY Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Taek-gyu), a company specializing in IT consulting and educational content, on July 14. The agreement aims to promote cooperation in the development of smart agriculture technologies and the provision of educational support.

MATEY Co., Ltd. is a promising SME recognized for its expertise in smart farm ICT. Based on its i-Finger edu platform, developed using smart farm technology, the company provides agricultural education and consulting services including complex environmental control simulations and nutrient solution management. MATEY continues to gain recognition in various ICT-based business sectors.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will strengthen their partnership through the following areas: △Joint development of simulators using artificial intelligence (AI) and related data, and enhancement of education capabilities in advanced digital technologies, △Establishment of support systems for incorporating smart agriculture into formal school curricula, △Provision of customized training programs to enhance job competencies required in the smart agriculture sector.

This partnership is expected to generate strong synergies in various areas including smart agriculture R&D, new technology development, joint research, and the dissemination of educational content.

Director Yeo Hyun of the Grand ICT Research Center remarked, “This agreement presents an excellent opportunity for both our center and MATEY to advance smart agriculture technologies and strengthen education capacity. We will continue expanding our industry-academia network and contribute to the development of both regional and national smart agriculture through joint research initiatives.”
