- 네일아트 자격과정 성료… 하반기 통번역사 양성과정 새롭게 운영 예정

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)가 순천시로부터 수탁 운영 중인 순천시가족센터는 결혼이민자의 자립 역량 강화를 위해 지난 3월부터 6월까지 3개월간 진행한‘네일아트 국가자격 직업훈련 프로그램’을 성공적으로 마쳤으며, 오는 9월부터는‘통번역사 양성과정’을 새롭게 운영할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

상반기에는 네일아트 국가자격증 과정이 운영되었으며, 총 15명의 결혼이민자가 참여해 이론 수업과 실습을 병행하며 한국산업인력공단에서 주관하는 네일아트 국가자격증을 목표로 교육을 이수했다. 이 가운데 5명이 이론시험에 합격하는 성과를 거두었으며, 현재는 실기시험을 준비 중에 있다. 참가자들은 열정적으로 교육에 임하며 한국 사회에 보다 안정적으로 정착할 수 있는 기반을 다지고 있다.

하반기(9~11월)에 운영 예정인 ‘통번역사 양성과정’은 8월 12일부터 한국어 실력이 중·상 정도의 결혼이민자 15명을 선착순 모집할 계획이다. 결혼이민자의 한국어 및 모국어 능력을 바탕으로 전문적인 역량을 키우고, 향후 공공기관 및 민간 부문에서 통번역 활동이 가능하도록 돕는 과정이다. 이번 프로그램은 다문화사회에 적합한 맞춤형 직업교육으로, 참여자들에게 실질적인 취업 기회를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

박애리 순천시가족센터장은 “결혼이민자의 안정적인 정착과 자립을 돕기 위해 실효성 있는 직업훈련 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영하겠다”고 전하며, “앞으로도 지역사회와 협력하여 다양한 지원 사업을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Suncheon City Family Center Announces Results of Vocational Training for Marriage Migrants and Plans for Fall Program

? Nail art certification course successfully completed; interpreter training program to launch in September

The Suncheon City Family Center, operated under the commission of Suncheon City by Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon), announced the successful completion of its three-month nail art national certification vocational training program for marriage migrants, held from March to June 2025. The center also revealed plans to launch a new interpreter training course starting in September.

The nail art certification program, offered during the first half of the year, was attended by 15 marriage migrants. The participants completed a combined curriculum of theoretical instruction and hands-on practice in preparation for the official national nail art certification exam administered by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea). Five participants successfully passed the written exam and are currently preparing for the practical exam. The program not only provided technical skills but also supported participants in building a foundation for stable settlement in Korean society.

The upcoming interpreter training program, scheduled for September to November, will recruit 15 participants on a first-come, first-served basis starting August 12. Targeting marriage migrants with intermediate to advanced Korean language proficiency, the course aims to strengthen both Korean and native language skills, equipping participants for interpretation and translation work in both public institutions and the private sector. As a customized vocational program designed for a multicultural society, the course is expected to offer practical employment opportunities for its participants.

Park Ae-ri, Director of the Suncheon City Family Center, stated, “We will continue to offer effective vocational training programs to support the stable settlement and self-reliance of marriage migrants,” and added, “By working closely with the local community, we aim to expand various support programs in the future.”
