- 임종대 회장“동문들과의 연대와 모교에 대한 감사의 마음 담아”

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 경영행정대학원 27기 임종대 초대 동창회장이 모교 발전을 위해 대학발전기금 5백만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이번 기탁은 지난 10일 열린 경영행정대학원 최고관리자과정 총동창 체육대회를 기념하여 이루어졌다. 이 자리에는 이병운 총장과 임종대 초대 동창회장, 대학 및 경영행정대학원 관계자들이 참석해 뜻깊은 시간을 함께했다.

임종대 초대 동창회장은 “동문들과 함께한 체육대회는 우리가 같은 배움의 울타리 안에서 성장하고 있다는 소중한 사실을 다시금 일깨워준다.”라며, “순천대에서 쌓은 인연과 배움의 시간을 돌아보며, 그 고마움을 나누고자 진심을 담아 기탁을 결심했다.”라고 밝혔다.

이에 이병운 총장은 “임종대 회장님의 따뜻한 모교 사랑에 깊이 감사드린다”라며, “기탁해 주신 발전기금은 국립순천대학교의 지속 가능한 발전과 지역사회와의 상생을 위한 소중한 밑거름이 될 것”이라고 화답했다.

한편, 임종대 초대 동창회장은 ㈜화인 대표이사이자 광양시 자원봉사단체협의회 회장, 광양제철소파트너사협회 부회장으로서 활발한 기업 경영 활동과 함께 지역 산업 생태계의 상생 발전을 위해 힘쓰고 있다. 특히 국립순천대학교와 광양시가 체결한 ‘글로컬대학30 사업 추진을 위한 업무 협약’을 바탕으로, 지역 특화 인재 양성 및 첨단산업 분야 지식 클러스터 구축 등 다양한 협력사업에도 앞장서고 있다.

Sunchon National University Alumnus Donates KRW 5 Million for University Advancement

Sunchon National University (President Byeong-Un Lee) announced that alumnus Im Jong-dae, the first president of the Graduate School of Business and Public Administration Alumni Association, donated KRW 5 million to support university development. The donation commemorated the Executive MBA alumni athletic event held on May 10.

Mr. Im expressed that the event reminded him of the meaningful relationships and learning he gained during his time at the university, which inspired his contribution. President Lee thanked him for his generosity, stating that the donation would help strengthen the university’s sustainable development and community engagement.

Mr. Im, a business executive and civic leader in Gwangyang, actively promotes regional cooperation. He also plays a key role in joint initiatives between SCNU and Gwangyang City under the 'Glocal University 30' program, supporting talent development and industrial innovation in the region.
