- 전남 12개 지자체 실무자 한자리에… RISE 기반 ‘지속가능한 학습 협력체계’ 구축

- 지역 맞춤형 교육과정 확대, 온라인 콘텐츠 공동개발로 미래 교육 준비

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 지난 4월 24일부터 25일까지 전라남도 내 시·군 평생교육 담당자들과 함께 ‘2025년도 제1차 지역 평생교육 실무협의회’를 개최하고, 전남형 평생학습 생태계 구축을 위한 공동 실행 과제를 논의했다.

이번 협의회는 국립순천대가 글로컬대학30 사업을 통해 운영 중인 ‘대학 부재지역 맞춤형 평생교육과정’의 운영 성과를 공유하고, 2025년부터 본격화되는 전라남도 RISE(지역혁신중심 대학지원체계) 사업과 연계해 전남 평생교육 허브센터 구축 방안을 구체화하기 위해 마련되었다.

협의회에서는 △2025학년도 미래융합학부 신입생 모집 안내 △2025-1학기 순천대 평생교육원 운영과정 소개 △온라인 기반 S-MOOC 교육과정(조경기능사, 코딩지도사) 활용 안내 등 지역 수요에 기반한 평생교육 프로그램이 소개됐다. 이와 함께 학점 인정이 가능한 ‘평생학습계좌제’ 등록 계획도 함께 발표되어, 향후 고등교육 진입 장벽을 낮추는 기반 마련에 대한 기대를 높였다.

특히 국립순천대는 지역민의 학습 접근성을 높이기 위해 웹툰, 애니메이션 등 디지털 콘텐츠 기반 온라인 교육과정을 올해 4개 이상 신규 개발할 예정이며, 이는 전남 전역의 ‘대학이 없는 지역’ 주민들에게도 실질적인 고등교육 기회를 제공하기 위한 핵심 전략으로 추진되고 있다.

박석곤 국립순천대 평생교육스쿨 학장은 “대학 부재지역의 평생교육 활성화를 위해 애써주시는 각 시군 실무자 여러분께 감사드린다”며, “지역 수요를 반영한 콘텐츠 개발과 다양한 맞춤형 교육과정 운영을 통해, 전남 곳곳에 지속 가능한 평생학습 생태계를 조성하겠다”고 밝혔다.

문승태 대외협력부총장은 “이번 협의회는 단발성 논의를 넘어, 국립대학과 지자체가 함께 설계하고 실행하는 지역 기반 평생교육 협력 체계의 출발점”이라며, “앞으로 RISE 사업과의 유기적 연계를 통해 순천대가 전남 전역의 고등교육 거점으로 자리매김할 수 있도록, 실질적인 협력 기반을 더욱 견고히 해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

이날 협의회에 참석한 지자체 평생교육 담당자들은 향후 협력방안을 논의하며, △지자체 수요 기반 교육과정 공동 기획 △지역 강사 양성을 통한 평생교육 생태계 조성 △맞춤형 온라인 콘텐츠 공동 개발 등 구체적인 실행 과제에 공감하고 긴밀한 협력 체계를 이어가기로 뜻을 모았다.

Sunchon National University Hosts Regional Lifelong Education Council with Jeonnam Municipalities

- Strategic discussions on building a RISE-linked Lifelong Learning Hub

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) held the “2025 1st Regional Lifelong Education Working Council” on April 24?25, in collaboration with lifelong education officers from cities and counties across Jeollanam-do. The two-day event took place at the Sunchon Wood Culture Center and the Suncheon Bay National Garden.

The council aimed to share the outcomes of the university’s regionally customized lifelong learning programs?offered through the Glocal University 30 initiative?and to explore collaborative strategies for establishing a Lifelong Education Hub Center in line with the upcoming Jeollanam-do RISE (Regional Innovation System & Education) initiative, launching in 2025.

During the meeting, participants discussed key educational offerings including the recruitment plan for the 2025 School of Future Convergence, current lifelong learning courses, and S-MOOC-based online programs in fields such as landscape gardening and coding. Plans for expanding the Lifelong Learning Account System, which allows for credit recognition, were also introduced to enhance access to higher education across the region.

Sunchon National University also announced its plan to develop at least four new digital content-based online courses?such as webtoons and animation?in 2025, designed to expand access to higher education for residents in areas without universities. Local government officers expressed strong support for future cooperation through initiatives such as co-designing programs, training local instructors, and jointly producing customized online content.
