- 한국 사회 정착과 진로 설계를 위한 맞춤형 취업 역량 강화 프로그램 눈길

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 지난 4월 11일부터 12일까지 전남 화순 금호리조트에서 외국인 유학생을 위한 취업캠프를 성황리에 개최하였다고 밝혔다.

이번 캠프는 몽골, 방글라데시, 우즈베키스탄, 필리핀 등 다양한 국적의 유학생 32명이 참가한 가운데, 한국 사회에서의 성공적인 취업과 안정적인 정착을 지원하기 위한 실용적인 프로그램들로 구성됐다.

주요 프로그램으로는 ▲국내 구직 플랫폼 활용법 ▲MBTI 기반 자기 이해 및 강점 도출 ▲매력적인 입사지원서 작성법 ▲유학생 간 네트워킹 및 친목 도모를 위한 레크리에이션 활동 등이 진행됐다.

국립순천대 강신원 국제교류교육본부장은 “이번 캠프가 유학생들에게 한국 사회와 취업 과정에 대한 이해를 높이고, 실제 구직에 필요한 역량을 쌓는 데 도움이 되었기를 바란다”며, “앞으로도 유학생이 지역사회에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록, 가족 정주 지원 프로그램을 비롯해 ‘지역 살아보기’ 체험, 한국문화 탐방 등 삶 전반을 아우르는 다양한 연계 프로그램을 지속 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립순천대학교는 2025년 개교 90주년을 앞두고 국제화 역량 강화를 위한 글로벌 교육 환경 조성에 박차를 가하고 있으며, 앞으로도 유학생의 진로 설계와 커리어 개발을 위한 맞춤형 지원을 지속해나갈 방침이다.

Sunchon National University Empowers International Students with a Career Camp

Sunchon National University successfully held a career camp for international students from April 11 to 12 at Kumho Resort in Hwasun, Jeollanam-do. The camp, which gathered 32 students from diverse national backgrounds (including Mongolia, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and the Philippines), offered practical sessions on domestic job search strategies, MBTI-based self-assessment, resume crafting, and networking activities. 

According to Kang Shin-won, Director of the Office of International Affairs, the program was designed to enhance students’ understanding of Korean society and the employment process while building essential job skills. He also emphasized that the university will continue to expand integrated support programs- ranging from family settlement initiatives to “Live Like a Local” experiences and Korean cultural tours-to foster stable community integration for international students. 

In anticipation of its 90th anniversary in 2025, Sunchon National University is strengthening its global educational environment and remains committed to providing tailored career and life planning support for international students.
