- '바이오·헬스케어' 신산업관 운영으로 대학과 지역산업을 연계한 혁신 모델 제시

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) RISE 창업혁신허브센터는 지난달 29일부터 31일까지 대구 EXCO에서 열린 「2025 산학연협력 EXPO」에 참가해 ‘바이오·헬스케어 신산업관’을 운영하며 지역특화 창업 성과를 선보였다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 교육부·과학기술정보통신부·대구광역시가 공동 주최하고 한국연구재단이 주관한 전국 최대 규모의 산학연 협력 박람회로, 전국 350여 개 대학과 기관이 참여해 RISE, 글로컬대학 30, BRIDGE 3.0, SCOUT 사업 등 정부 지원사업의 성과를 공유했다.

국립순천대학교 RISE 창업혁신허브센터는 전라남도 특화 산업분야인 ‘바이오·헬스케어’를 주제로 전시관을 구성하고, 대학의 창업지원 정책과 산·학·연 연계 성과를 집중 홍보했다.

전시에는 ▲㈜에프오엔(개비자나무 소재 반려동물 기능성 화장품 및 식품) ▲㈜크리포 (단백질·바이오의약품 정제 플랫폼) ▲㈜파인푸드랩(기능성 고단백 분말 음료 ‘퓨롯 퓨어 프로틴’) ▲㈜앤드블랭크(반려동물 영양제 ‘프롬더셀’) ▲ENTOLAB(버섯 폐배지를 활용한 곤충사료) 등 국립순천대 창업지원 프로그램을 통해 성장한 대학 및 지역 창업기업들의 시제품과 서비스가 전시됐다.

관람객들은 직접 제품을 체험하며 대학의 창업지원 성과를 확인했고, 국립순천대학교가 추진하는 지속가능한 창업 생태계 모델에 높은 관심을 보였다. RISE 창업혁신허브센터는 이번 전시를 통해 ‘대학 중심 지역혁신 생태계’ 모델을 제시하며, 지역 산업과 연계된 혁신 창업 사례를 전국에 널리 알렸다.

국립순천대학교 RISE 창업혁신허브센터 최정민센터장은 “우리 대학은 바이오·헬스케어 분야를 비롯해 지역 산업의 혁신창업 기반을 강화하고 있다”며, “대학의 연구 성과를 창업과 지역 산업으로 연계하는 지속가능한 지산학(地産學) 협력 생태계를 조성해 지역혁신을 선도하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립순천대학교 RISE 창업혁신허브센터는 이번 성과를 바탕으로 지역특화 창업교육 강화, 창업기업 성장 단계별 멘토링 및 투자 연계 확대, 전남형 스타트업 네트워크 구축 등을 추진해 지역 혁신창업 거점의 역할을 지속 확장해 갈 계획이다.

SCNU RISE Startup Innovation Hub Showcases Regional Startup Achievements at the 2025 Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation EXPO

- Presenting an innovation model linking universities and local industries through the “Bio & Healthcare” New Industry Pavilion

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its RISE Startup Innovation Hub successfully participated in the 2025 Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation EXPO, held from October 29 to 31 at EXCO in Daegu. SCNU operated the “Bio & Healthcare New Industry Pavilion,” presenting outstanding startup achievements in regional specialized industries.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Daegu Metropolitan Government, and organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea, the EXPO is the nation’s largest industry-academia-research cooperation fair. More than 350 universities and institutions across the country took part, sharing the outcomes of major government-funded projects such as RISE, Glocal University 30, BRIDGE 3.0, and SCOUT.

At the event, the SCNU RISE Startup Innovation Hub highlighted the university’s entrepreneurship support programs and collaboration achievements among academia, industry, and research institutions under the theme of “Bio & Healthcare,” a key strategic sector for Jeollanam-do Province.

Exhibits featured products and services from startups nurtured through SCNU’s entrepreneurship support programs, including FOEN Co., Ltd. (functional cosmetics and pet food made from Torreya nucifera), CRIPO Co., Ltd. (protein and biopharmaceutical purification platform), Pine Food Lab Co., Ltd. (high-protein functional powder beverage “Pureot Pure Protein”), AndBlank Co., Ltd. (pet supplement “From the Cell”), and ENTOLAB (insect feed using mushroom by-product substrates).

Visitors explored various product demonstrations and expressed great interest in SCNU’s sustainable startup ecosystem model. Through its participation, the RISE Startup Innovation Hub showcased an exemplary “University-Centered Regional Innovation Ecosystem,” introducing innovative startup cases closely connected to regional industries on a national scale.

Choi Jung-min, Director of the SCNU RISE Startup Innovation Hub, stated, “SCNU is strengthening the foundation for innovation-driven startups in regional industries, particularly in the bio and healthcare sectors. We aim to lead regional innovation by building a sustainable industry-academia collaboration ecosystem that links university research outcomes with startups and local industries.”

Building on the achievements from the EXPO, the SCNU RISE Startup Innovation Hub plans to further enhance entrepreneurship education tailored to local industries, expand mentoring and investment connections for startups at different growth stages, and establish a Jeonnam-style startup network to solidify its role as a regional innovation and entrepreneurship hub.
