- ITU-T SG13/WP3/Q1 융합서비스 표준 현안 점검·전망 공유와 국내 전략 방안 모색

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 지능형 스마트농업 Grand ICT 연구센터(센터장 여현)는 지난달 28일 산학협력관 513호에서 ‘스마트농업 국제표준 전문가 워크숍’을 열고, ITU-T SG13/WP3/Q1 융합서비스 스터디그룹의 스마트팜 국제표준화 현황과 전망을 공유했다고 밝혔다.

이번 워크숍에는 국립순천대 지능형 스마트농업 Grand ICT 연구센터 참여 교수 및 연구원과 ITU-T SG13 전문가 4인(ITU-T SG13 WP4 Q1 정희창 의장, KAIM 조석팔 전문위원, 동의대 김동일 교수, 인제대 이숭희 교수)이 참여해 △스마트팜 국제 표준화 동향 △ITU-T SG13(미래 네트워크 스터디그룹) 조직 구조 및 운영 방향 △신규 표준 승인 절차 검토 등을 중심으로 발표와 토론을 이어갔다.

행사 첫 발표는 인제대학교 이숭희 교수가 맡아, 최근 제정 및 개정된 주요 권고안 현황과 국내 대응 과제를 소개하며 국제표준화 동향을 정리했다. 이어 정희창 의장(ITU-T SG13 WP4 Q1)은 SG13 발표를 통해 국내 기술의 국제표준화 추진을 위한 핵심 과제와 내년도 예상 이슈 및 대응 방향을 제시하며 국내 표준 전문가 활동 가이드라인을 제시했다.

이어 동의대 김동일 교수가 올해 3월 제네바에서 개최된 ITU-T SG13 정기총회에서 대한민국 대표단이 제출한 15건의 기고서와 3건의 권고안 승인 성과를 공유했다. 마지막으로 KAIM 조석팔 전문위원은 ‘Y.sup-mlip’(네트워크 환경에서의 스마트팜 위기완화 서비스 모델) 수정안에 대한 국제 기술위원회 피드백을 전하고, 보완 방향과 후속 작업 계획을 논의했다.

여현 센터장은 “이번 워크숍은 제네바 총회의 성과를 바탕으로 국립순천대학교가 스마트농업 국제표준화 주도권을 강화할 수 있는 전략을 구체화한 계기”라며, “앞으로도 우리 대학 연구진이 국가를 대표하는 국제표준 전문가로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

지능형 스마트농업 Grand ICT 연구센터는 이번 워크숍을 발판으로 국내외 이해관계자와의 협업을 강화하고, 스마트농업 분야 국제표준 제정 속도를 높여 관련 산업의 글로벌 경쟁력을 제고해 나갈 방침이다.

Sunchon National University Hosts Expert Workshop on Smart Agriculture International Standards

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Grand ICT Research Center for Intelligent Smart Agriculture (Director Yeo Hyun) held a “Smart Agriculture International Standards Expert Workshop” on April 28 at Industry-Academic Cooperation Building, Room 513. The workshop focused on the current status and future outlook of international standardization for smart farming, particularly within the ITU-T SG13/WP3/Q1 Converged Services Study Group.

The event brought together professors and researchers from the Grand ICT Research Center and four experts from ITU-T SG13: Chairman Jeong Hee-chang (SG13 WP4 Q1), KAIM expert Cho Seok-pal, Professor Kim Dong-il (Dong-Eui University), and Professor Lee Soong-hee (Inje University). They discussed key topics such as smart farm standardization trends, the organizational structure and operations of ITU-T SG13 (Future Networks Study Group), and the procedures for new standards approval.

The first presentation was delivered by Professor Lee Soong-hee from Inje University, who outlined recently adopted and revised ITU-T recommendations and key domestic issues in response. This was followed by a presentation from Chairman Jeong Hee-chang, who introduced strategic priorities and anticipated international issues for next year, while offering guidelines for domestic experts aiming to participate in global standardization efforts.

Professor Kim Dong-il then shared the achievements from the ITU-T SG13 plenary meeting held in Geneva this March, highlighting 15 contributions and three adopted recommendations submitted by the Korean delegation. Finally, expert Cho Seok-pal of KAIM presented international feedback on a proposed revision to “Y.sup-mlip,” a model for crisis mitigation services in smart farm networks, and discussed directions for refinement and follow-up work.

Director Yeo Hyun stated, “This workshop was a meaningful opportunity to translate our recent success at the Geneva plenary into a concrete strategy for Sunchon National University to lead global smart agriculture standardization,” adding, “We will continue to support our researchers in becoming internationally recognized experts in this field.”

The Grand ICT Research Center plans to build on this workshop to strengthen cooperation with both domestic and international stakeholders and accelerate the development of global standards in smart agriculture, thereby boosting the industry’s international competitiveness.
