- 지속적인 전형 개선 노력으로 입시 공정성·운영 역량 입증

- 연간 5.8억 원 국고 확보… 지역 거점대학으로 고교-대학 연계 교육 본격화

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 교육부가 주관하고 한국대학교육협의회가 시행하는 ‘2025~2026년 고교교육 기여대학 지원사업’에 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다. 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 선정으로 지역 고교교육의 든든한 동반자로 자리매김하고 있다.

‘고교교육 기여대학 지원사업’은 고교학점제 등 변화하는 교육환경에 대응해 고교 교육의 내실화를 도모하고, 공정하고 투명한 대입 전형 운영을 통해 수험생의 부담을 완화하기 위해 2014년부터 추진되고 있는 정부 재정지원 사업이다. 선정 대학에는 입학사정관 인건비, 교육·훈련비, 대입전형 연구비, 고교-교육청 협력 사업비, 사업 성과 확산비 등 다양한 항목에 대한 예산이 지원된다.

국립순천대는 이번 선정으로 2025년부터 2026년까지 매년 약 5억 8천만 원의 국고를 지원받게 되며, 이를 바탕으로 고등학교와의 연계 강화, 책임 있는 대입 전형 운영, 수험생 맞춤형 진로 설계 지원 등 대학의 인적·물적 자원을 활용한 다양한 프로그램을 추진할 계획이다.

특히 ▲대입설명회 ▲모의면접 ▲진로·진학 아카데미 등 지역 고교생을 위한 입시 지원 프로그램과 함께, 고교학점제 정착을 위한 ▲공동 교육과정 개발 및 운영을 교육청 및 지역 고교와 협력하여 진행할 예정이다.

강희순 입학처장은 “고교-대학 연계를 넘어 시·도 교육청과의 협력을 통해 지역 교육 거버넌스를 더욱 강화하고, 변화하는 교육정책에 능동적으로 대응해 나가겠다”며, “이번 사업뿐 아니라 글로컬대학30, RISE(지역혁신중심대학지원체계) 사업과도 연계해 공교육을 적극 지원하고 지역 인재를 함께 키우는 국립대학으로서 책임 있는 역할을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립순천대학교는 2026학년도 신입생으로 총 1,685명을 모집할 예정이며, 이 중 수시 전형으로 1,649명(97.9%, 학생부교과·학생부종합·실기/실적), 정시 전형으로 36명(2.1%, 가군·다군)을 선발할 계획이다.

Sunchon National University Selected for 2025?2026 University Support Program for High School Education Contribution

Sunchon National University (President Byung-Woon Lee) has been selected for the 2025?2026 University Support Program for Contribution to High School Education, a national initiative led by the Ministry of Education and implemented by the Korean Council for University Education (KCUE). This marks the university’s second consecutive year of selection, further solidifying its role as a key partner in enhancing high school education in the region.

The program, launched in 2014, aims to support high schools in adapting to the evolving educational environment?such as the introduction of the high school credit system?by strengthening the quality of high school education and ensuring fair and transparent college admissions processes. Selected universities receive government funding to support admissions officer salaries, training programs, admissions research, collaborative projects with local education offices and high schools, and dissemination of best practices.

Through this selection, Sunchon National University will receive approximately KRW 580 million (about USD 420,000) in annual government funding from 2025 to 2026. The university plans to utilize this support to expand high school-university collaboration, implement responsible admissions processes, and offer customized career and academic planning support for students.

In particular, the university will offer a variety of programs for local high school students?including college admissions briefings, mock interviews, and career & college readiness academies. Additionally, in collaboration with local education offices and high schools, SNU will develop and operate joint curricula that align with the national high school credit system.

Kang Hee-soon, Director of Admissions at Sunchon National University, stated, “We aim to move beyond simple university-high school partnerships by strengthening governance with local education offices and proactively responding to national education policy changes. In addition to this program, we will align with other national initiatives such as the Glocal University 30 project and the RISE (Regional Innovation System for Education) project, taking on our responsibility as a national university to support public education and foster local talent.”

Meanwhile, for the 2026 academic year, Sunchon National University plans to admit a total of 1,685 new students?1,649 (97.9%) through early admission (including academic records, holistic review, and practical/achievement-based admissions), and 36 (2.1%) through the regular admission process.
