- 순천대-고용복지플러스센터 공동 주관… 약 1,000명 참여 성황

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 지난 5월 28일, 학생회관 앞 광장에서 순천고용복지플러스센터와 함께 '지역 내 우수 기업을 홍보하고 및 일자리 확충'을 위한 합동 채용설명회를 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에는 국립순천대학교 재학생, 졸업생은 물론, 지역 청년 등 약 1,000명이 참석했으며, 총 30개 부스가 운영되어 다양한 채용 정보와 상담 기회를 제공했다.

주요 프로그램으로는 △참여 기업의 채용설명회 및 현직자 직무 상담회 △청년고용정책 상담 부스 △퍼스널 컬러를 활용한 면접 이미지 메이킹 △입사지원서 컨설팅 △기업 인사담당자 협의회 등이 마련되어 참가자들의 높은 호응을 얻었다. 특히, 포스코(광양), OCI(광양), 한전KDN, 전남바이오진흥원, 한국부동산원, 전남콘텐츠코리아랩, 전남창조경제혁신센터, 한국철도공사, 여수광양항만공사 등 대기업 및 공공기관을 포함한 중견·중소기업 20여 곳이 참여해 더욱 풍성한 정보를 제공했다.

현장에서는 순천고용복지플러스센터 소속 직업상담사들이 직접 이력서ㆍ자기소개서 컨설팅 및 취업 상담을 제공했으며, 국민취업지원제도, 국민내일배움카드 등 청년 취업 역량 강화를 위한 다양한 고용정책 안내도 함께 이루어져 실질적인 도움이 됐다는 평가를 받았다. 또한, 행사 종료 후 진행된 기업 인사담당자 협의회에서는 대학일자리플러스센터 사업 소개와 함께 추천채용, 직무체험형 인턴사업 등 일자리 연계 프로그램에 대한 논의도 활발히 진행되었다.

채용설명회에 참여한 한 학생은 “이번 채용설명회를 통해 포스코와 OCI와 같은 대기업뿐만 아니라 중소기업까지 다양한 기업의 채용 정보를 얻을 수 있어서 유익했다”며, “현직자와의 직무 상담을 통해 실무에 대한 이해도가 높아졌고 1:1 상담으로 진행되어 실질적인 취업 고민이 해결되어 매우 만족스러웠다.”고 소감을 밝혔다.

 대학일자리플러스센터 정정조 센터장은 “이번 행사는 재학생, 졸업생 및 지역 청년들에게 다양한 취업 기회를 제공하고, 지역 우수 기업과의 협력을 강화하는 중요한 계기가 되었다”며 “앞으로도 순천고용복지플러스센터와 지속적으로 협업하여 기업과 청년 간의 실질적인 일매칭을 위해 추천채용, 직무체험형 인턴십, 졸업생 특화프로그램 등 다양한 연계 프로그램을 적극적으로 추진해 나가겠다”라고 밝혔다.

한편, 국립순천대학교 대학일자리플러스센터는 학생과 지역 청년들을 위해 청년고용정책 유관 기관과 협력하여 매월 2회 ‘청년고용정책 DAY’를 운영하고 있으며, 학생회관 1층 라운지에서 국민취업지원제도, 국민내일배움카드 설명 및 1:1 상담을 제공하고 있다.

SCNU Hosts Successful Joint Job Fair with Suncheon Employment Welfare Plus Center

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) held a joint job fair with the Suncheon Employment Welfare Plus Center on May 28 in front of the Student Union Building, aiming to promote outstanding local companies and expand employment opportunities. The event drew approximately 1,000 participants, including SCNU students, alumni, and local youth.

With 30 booths in operation, the fair offered a wide range of employment information and one-on-one consultations. Key programs included company recruitment briefings, career counseling sessions with current employees, youth employment policy consultations, personal color-based interview styling, resume and cover letter consulting, and a roundtable meeting with corporate HR managers.

Major participants included large corporations and public institutions such as POSCO (Gwangyang), OCI (Gwangyang), KEPCO KDN, Korea Real Estate Board, Korea Railroad Corporation, and various regional SMEs, providing diverse and practical employment information.

At the fair, career counselors from the Employment Welfare Plus Center provided on-site r?sum? and interview coaching, while introducing government support programs such as the National Employment Support System and the “Tomorrow Learning Card.” The follow-up HR roundtable also featured active discussions on cooperative programs such as job matching, internship opportunities, and university-led employment initiatives.

One participant shared, “It was helpful to learn about opportunities from both large companies like POSCO and OCI, as well as smaller firms. The one-on-one job counseling sessions provided specific advice that helped resolve my concerns about employment.”

Jeong Jeong-jo, Director of the SCNU University Job Plus Center, stated, “This event served as a meaningful platform for connecting students and local youth with quality employment opportunities while strengthening ties with regional companies. We will continue to collaborate with the Employment Welfare Plus Center to promote programs such as job recommendations, internship placements, and career support tailored to graduates.”

The University Job Plus Center at SCNU also holds “Youth Employment Policy Day” twice a month, offering one-on-one consultations and guidance on national employment programs at the Student Union lounge.
