- 순천미래과학고 재학생 50명, 자기소개서 작성부터 AI 활용법까지… 

맞춤형 컨설팅 통해 실전 취업역량 강화

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 지난 5월 19일 순천미래과학고등학교 재학생 50명을 대상으로 ‘취업역량 Jump Up 캠프’를 운영했다고 밝혔다. 이번 프로그램은 지역 특성화고 청년들의 실전 취업 준비를 돕기 위한 취업지원 서비스의 일환으로, 다양한 실습 중심 프로그램이 하루 동안 밀도 있게 진행되었다.

캠프에서는 △직무 및 기업분석 △직무경험 정리 △AI 도구(ChatGPT)를 활용한 입사지원서 작성법 특강 △실전 자기소개서 작성 실습 △전문가 1:1 컨설팅 등이 체계적으로 구성되었으며, 참여 학생들은 각자의 진로 방향에 맞춘 개별 피드백을 통해 실질적인 도움을 받았다.

특히 인공지능을 활용한 입사지원서 작성 특강 후 이어진 1:1 맞춤형 컨설팅은 높은 만족도를 이끌어냈다. 학생들은 자신의 경험과 강점을 효과적으로 정리하고 표현하는 방법을 익혔으며, 이를 바탕으로 완성도 높은 입사지원서를 직접 작성해보는 기회를 가졌다.

프로그램에 참여한 바이오메티컬과 한 학생은 “입사지원서를 처음 쓰는 것이 막막했지만, 특강과 개별 피드백을 통해 어떻게 접근해야 할지 감을 잡았다”며 “직무 분석부터 자기표현까지 전반적인 준비를 도와주는 구성이라 자신감을 갖게 되었다”고 소감을 전했다.

정정조 국립순천대 대학일자리플러스센터장은 “이번 프로그램은 지역 청년들에게 실질적인 취업준비 역량을 키우는 동시에, 대학일자리플러스센터의 역할과 지원 가능성에 대해 알리는 좋은 계기가 되었다”며, “앞으로도 순천대 재학생과 졸업생뿐만 아니라 타 대학생, 특성화고생, 전역예정 장병 등 다양한 구직 청년층을 대상으로 맞춤형 취업 지원을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 국립순천대학교는 2023년 교육부의 ‘글로컬대학30’ 사업에 선정되어, 강소지역기업 500개 육성과 취·창업률 80% 달성을 목표로 전라남도, 순천시, 순천고용복지플러스센터, 전남테크노파크 등과 협력해 지역 기반 청년일자리 생태계 조성에 힘쓰고 있다.

SCNU Hosts ‘Employment Competency Jump Up Camp’ for Specialized High School Students

Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that it held the “Employment Competency Jump Up Camp” on May 19 for 50 students from Sunchon Mirae Science High School. The program was part of the university's employment support services, designed to help local specialized high school students prepare for real-world job applications through an intensive, hands-on, one-day session.

The camp featured a series of structured activities including: △ Job and company analysis △ Organizing job-related experiences △ A special lecture on resume writing using AI tools (ChatGPT) △ Practical self-introduction writing exercises △ One-on-one consultations with employment experts

Participants received personalized feedback tailored to their career paths, gaining meaningful insights and practical support throughout the program.

In particular, the one-on-one customized consultations following the AI-based resume writing lecture received high praise from participants. Students learned how to effectively organize and articulate their strengths and experiences, and had the opportunity to create polished application documents based on what they had learned.

One student from the Department of Biomedical Engineering shared, “Writing a resume for the first time felt overwhelming, but the lecture and personalized feedback gave me a clear approach. The program helped me gain confidence by guiding me through everything from job analysis to self-presentation.”

Jeong Jeong-jo, Director of the University Job Plus Center at Sunchon National University, stated, “This program not only enhanced the practical job-seeking skills of local youth but also served as a valuable opportunity to raise awareness about the role and support capabilities of the University Job Plus Center. We will continue to expand customized employment support for a wide range of young job seekers, including our own students and graduates, students from other universities, specialized high school students, and soon-to-be-discharged military personnel.”

Meanwhile, Sunchon National University was selected in 2023 for the Ministry of Education’s “Glocal University 30” initiative. With the goal of fostering 500 regional small and medium-sized enterprises and achieving an 80% employment and entrepreneurship rate, the university is actively collaborating with local governments such as Jeollanam-do and Suncheon City, as well as related organizations including the Suncheon Employment Welfare Plus Center and Jeonnam Technopark, to build a robust local youth employment ecosystem.
