- 지역 기반 우주항공 인재 양성 및 산학협력 생태계 구축 협력

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 우주항공·첨단소재스쿨은 지난 5월 21일, 에이블맥스㈜(대표 박정혁)와 함께 우주항공고흥캠퍼스의 활성화와 지역 기반 산업 발전을 위한 인재 양성을 목표로 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 글로컬대학 사업의 성공적인 운영과 지속 가능한 산학협력 생태계 구축에 협력하기로 뜻을 모았다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 △우주항공고흥캠퍼스를 중심으로 한 교육 및 연구 협력 △인공위성 및 발사체 설계를 위한 열유동·구조 전산해석 소프트웨어 교육과정의 공동 운영 △기업 수요 기반의 실무형 인재 양성 및 재직자 역량 강화 △산학 공동연구 및 프로젝트 수행 △지역 우주항공 산업 생태계 활성화를 위한 정보 교류와 공동 행사 추진 등 다양한 분야에서 협력하게 된다.

특히, 에이블맥스㈜는 우주항공과 수소에너지 등 고신뢰 열해석 분야의 전문성을 바탕으로, 산업 수요에 부응하는 교육과정 개발과 전산해석 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어 교육 등의 협력 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다. 국립순천대학교는 이를 통해 지역 기반 우수 인재를 육성하고, ‘인재 양성-산업 연계-지역 정주’로 이어지는 선순환 구조를 구축한다는 방침이다.

국립순천대 이희남 우주항공고흥캠퍼스 단장은 “향후 고흥 지역이 우주항공 산업의 전략적 거점으로 자리매김하고, 지역 청년들에게는 새로운 성장 기회와 정주 기반이 마련될 수 있도록, 지산학캠퍼스를 중심으로 기업과의 교육·연구 협력을 지속하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Sunchon National University Signs MOU with ABLEMAX Co., Ltd. to Foster Aerospace Talent and Revitalize Goheung Campus

The School of Aerospace and Advanced Materials at Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced on May 21 that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ABLEMAX Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Jeong-hyuk) to foster talent for the revitalization of the Aerospace Goheung Campus and the development of region-based industries.

Through this agreement, the two institutions agreed to cooperate for the successful operation of the Glocal University Project and the establishment of a sustainable industry-academia cooperation ecosystem.

Under the MOU, the institutions will collaborate in various areas, including: Educational and research cooperation centered on the Aerospace Goheung Campus, Joint operation of courses on computational thermal-fluid and structural analysis software for satellite and launch vehicle design, Practical workforce development based on industry demand and capacity-building for current employees, Joint research and project execution, Information exchange and joint events to revitalize the regional aerospace industry ecosystem

In particular, ABLEMAX Co., Ltd. plans to leverage its expertise in high-reliability thermal analysis, especially in aerospace and hydrogen energy sectors, to jointly develop industry-responsive curricula and provide simulation-based computational analysis education programs.

Sunchon National University aims to nurture outstanding local talent through this partnership, building a virtuous cycle of "talent cultivation ? industry linkage ? local settlement."

Lee Hee-nam, Director of the Aerospace Goheung Campus at Sunchon National University, stated, “We will continue to strengthen education and research collaboration with industries through the Jisan-Hak Campus (Campus for Local Industry-Academic Cooperation), so that Goheung can emerge as a strategic hub for the aerospace industry and offer new growth opportunities and settlement bases for young people in the region.”
