- 다문화가족 자녀 언어 발달 지원 및  한국어 교육 지원 

국립순천대학교(총장 이병운)는 순천시로부터 수탁 운영하는 순천시가족센터(센터장 박애리)가 다문화가족 자녀(12세 이하)의 언어 발달 지원과 결혼 이민자 및 중도 입국 자녀를 위한 한국어 교육 사업을 운영한다고 전했다.

다문화가족 자녀 언어 발달 지원은 자녀들의 언어 발달 상태를 평가하고, 의사소통에 어려움을 겪는 아동에게 맞춤형 교육과 부모 상담을 제공한다. 이 과정은 아동들이 일상생활에서도 언어 발달을 촉진할 수 있도록 돕고, 수준별 맞춤형 교육을 통해 다문화가족 자녀들의 원활한 의사소통 능력 향상을 돕는다.

결혼이민자 및 중도 입국 자녀를 위한 한국어 교육은 한국 사회와 일상생활에 적응할 수 있도록 돕기 위해 6개 수준별 과정을 제공한다. 과정은 토픽 초급 1·2, 중급, 고급, 국적 취득, 취업을 위한 한국어로 구성되어 있으며, 이를 통해 다문화가족이 한국 사회에서 원활하게 생활할 수 있도록 지원하고 있다.

박애리 센터장은“센터에서 진행하는 다문화가족 자녀 언어 발달 지원과 한국어 교육 사업을 통해 다문화가족 구성원들이 사회에서 제 역할을 다하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 지속적으로 다문화가족 역량 강화를 위한 사업 운영에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 순천시가족센터에서는 다문화가족들의 역량강화를 위해 이중언어 교육 지원 사업 및 다문화 엄마학교, 결혼이민자 직업훈련 등의 다양한 프로그램들을 지원하고 있다고 덧붙였다.

SCNU’s Suncheon Family Center Supports Language Development and Korean Education for Multicultural Families

Suncheon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that the Suncheon Family Center, operated under the university’s commission by Suncheon City, is providing language development support for children from multicultural families (aged 12 and under) and Korean language education for marriage immigrants and immigrant youth.

The language development program includes professional assessments of children's language abilities and offers customized educational support and parental counseling for those experiencing communication difficulties. The goal is to help children improve their communication skills through daily life interaction and level-based, individualized instruction.

For marriage immigrants and mid-immigrant youth, the center offers a six-level Korean language curriculum, covering TOPIK beginner levels 1 and 2, intermediate, advanced, naturalization-focused, and employment-oriented Korean. These courses aim to facilitate adaptation to Korean society and daily life for multicultural families.

Center Director stated that these initiatives are expected to significantly contribute to the social integration and empowerment of multicultural families. She reaffirmed the center’s commitment to continually expanding programs that enhance the capacity and inclusion of multicultural communities. 

In addition, the Suncheon Family Center runs a variety of other support programs, including bilingual education, a Multicultural Mothers’ School, and vocational training for marriage immigrants.
