Garden Industry and Culture is a new field of study for developing expertise in creating/ decorating/ designing a garden, production of plants and goods for a garden, and the garden industry together with relevant cultures. Gardens have been closely associated with human life and they are growing in popularity more recently along with industrialization and urbanization, which places an emphasis on improved quality of life. The Department is operating an on-the-job curriculum, designed for those seeking lifelong learning, aligned with their jobs and workplaces, so as to help them find solutions to problems they may face in the field. With lectures provided by the faculty members who have majored in landscape architecture and also affiliated professors who have extensive, hands-on experience, students can acquire practical, specialized expertise that can meet their needs. This major is especially promising as the demand in the domestic and overseas garden industry keeps growing.
