College of Life Science and Natural Resources
The College of Life Science and Natural Resources aims at developing professional human resources who can offer practical expertise in the bio-industry and advanced agriculture, and also to solve problems pertaining to these areas by studying sophistication of agricultural production, advanced agricultural technologies, and effective utilization of agricultural resources.
With regard to life science, the College provides education for modern biology, improved productivity for bio-resources, environmental preservation, and development of the bio-industry.
Animal Resource Science has infinite potential for development in the field of 21st-century advanced science and is expanding its scope along with the growing interest in life science. In addition, as food is becoming a significant strategic issue, the Department of Animal Resource Science helps you to obtain professional expertise in developing and supplying animal food resources. In particular, the Department offers systematic theoretical education and experiments/training for breeding/improvement of superior livestock, development of functional bio-feeds, and effective production/processing/management of livestock products (e.g. Korean dairy products and sausage). In terms of cultural and medical aspects, this field of study provides expertise in producing, breeding, raising, and training pets for creating added value and in extending human life by producing bio-organs through genetic engineering and research on stem cells.
