국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 학생생활관은 2025학년도 1학기 중간고사 기간 동안 관생들의 체력 증진과 사기 충전을 위한 응원 이벤트 「음·특·간」행사를 4월 22일(화)부터 24일(목)까지 3일간 진행했다.

‘음·특·간’은 ‘음료와 특별식과 간식’을 줄인 말로, 중간고사에 지친 학생들에게 작지만 든든한 응원의 마음을 전하고자 기획됐다. 이번 행사는 국립대학육성사업의 일환으로 추진 중인 SCNU-RC(Residential Campus) 프로그램과 연계하여, 생활관 입실 학생들이 학업에 더욱 집중할 수 있도록 돕는 데 초점을 맞췄다. SCNU-RC 프로그램은 기숙사에서 생활하는 학생들에게 다양한 체험을 통해 만족도를 높이고, 복지 증진에 기여하는 프로그램이다.

행사 1일차(22일)에는 ‘지구의 날 맞이, 개인 텀블러로 지구환경 살리기 동참하자!’ 슬로건과 함께 아메리카노·카페라테·아이스티 등 음료가, 2일차(23일)에는 ‘특별한 아웃백 먹고 A+ 도전하자!’ 문구와 함께 아웃백 특별식이, 3일차(24일)에는 ‘간식 먹고 힘내자!’는 응원과 함께 도넛과 주스 간식 꾸러미가 각각 제공되어 학생들의 중간고사 기간 동안 체력 증진과 사기 충전을 도왔다.

국립순천대 이미경 학생생활관장은 “『음·특·간』행사를 통해 생활관에 입실한 학생들이 편안한 마음으로 학업에 전념하고, 미래를 위한 역량을 함양할 수 있는 기회가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 관생들의 만족도 향상을 위한 다양한 이벤트와 RC 프로그램을 추진하겠다”고 전했다.

한편, 국립순천대학교 학생생활관은 1982년 3월 학생기숙사로 개편·개관한 이후 43년 넘게 학생들이 자율과 규율이 조화를 이루는 공동체 생활을 통해 협동정신과 사회적응 역량을 키울 수 있도록 다양한 지원과 환경을 조성해오고 있다.

Sunchon National University Holds “Drink, Meal & Snack” Event to Cheer Dormitory Residents During Midterm Exams

The Student Dormitory at Sunchon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) hosted a three-day cheer-up event from April 22 to 24, 2025, to support students’ well-being and motivation during the midterm exam period. The event, named “Drink, Meal & Snack (DMS),” was designed to provide small but meaningful support to dormitory residents feeling the stress of exams.

“DMS” stands for “Drink, Meal, and Snack” and was planned as part of the SCNU-RC (Residential Campus) program supported by the National University Development Project. The program aims to enhance student satisfaction and welfare by providing enriching residential experiences. The DMS event encouraged students to focus on their studies while feeling cared for and supported in their living environment.

Each day featured a different theme. On Day 1 (April 22), students received drinks such as iced tea, cafe latte, and Americano, along with an eco-friendly message to use personal tumblers in celebration of Earth Day. On Day 2, they were served a special Outback meal with the slogan “Enjoy a special meal, aim for an A+!” On Day 3, donut and juice snack packs were provided with a simple cheer: “Recharge with snacks and stay strong!”

Lee Mi-kyung, Director of the Student Dormitory, said, “We hope this event helped students recharge and stay focused on their studies with peace of mind. We will continue to organize various RC programs and events to improve dorm life satisfaction.”

Since its transformation into a student dormitory in March 1982, the Sunchon National University Student Dormitory has been committed to providing a community-based living environment where autonomy and discipline are balanced. Through this environment, students are encouraged to grow their sense of cooperation and social adaptability.
