국립순천대학교국제한국어교육학과

학과소개

순천대학교 국제한국어교육학과는 외국인에게 한국어와 한국문화를 가르치기 위한 한국어 교사를 양성하는 학과이다.

세계적으로 한국 문화와 한국어에 대한 관심이 크게 높아짐에 따라 해외에서 한국어를 학습하고 한국문화를 익히려는 요구가 계속 증대되고 있다. 대한민국 정부도, 해외에 설치한 세종학당을 비롯하여 한국어와 한국문화 기관을 대폭 확충하는 등, 세계 각국의 수요에 적극적으로 대응하고 있다. 순천대학교의 국제한국어교육학과도 이러한 세계적인 경향과 대한민국 정부의 움직임에 발맞추어 전공학과를 2021년에 개설하게 되었다.

현재 국제한국어교육학과는 한국어 교사가 되고 싶어하는 내국인 학생과, 외국인 학생이 모두 함께 어울려 글로벌한 분위기를 느낄 수 있다. 세계 각국의 학생들이 함께 수업을 듣고 진행하며, 다양한 학생 행사에서도 함께 어울려 세계 시민으로서의 소양을 기르고 있다. 또한 국제한국어교육학과에서는 한국어 교사로서의 능력을 향상하기 위하여 한국문화, 한국문학, 한국어문법, 한국어와 한국문화 교수법 등의 전공 영역에서 다양한 교과목을 책임있게 운영하고 있다.
본과에서는 국내에서 또는 해외에 나가서 대한민국의 문화와 한국어를 세계에 널리 보급하는 데 관심이 있는 많은 학생들이 함께 참여해 줄 것을 기대하고 있다.

졸업 후 진로

• 졸업 후에는 학과의 한국어 교육 전문인력 배양 능력을 인정받아 문화체육관광부장관이 발급하는 한국어교원 자격증(2급 또는 3급)을 취득할 수 있다. 이를 통해 다음과 같은 기관에서 외국인을 가르치는 한국어 교원으로 활동할 수 있다.

Introduction to the department

Suncheon University's Department of International Korean Language Education is a department that trains Korean language teachers to teach Korean language and Korean culture to foreigners.

As interest in Korean culture and Korean language increases significantly around the world, the demand to learn Korean and learn Korean culture abroad continues to increase. The Korean government is also actively responding to the demands of countries around the world, including Sejong Institute installed overseas, by significantly expanding Korean language and Korean cultural institutions. Suncheon University's Department of International Korean Language Education also opened a major in 2021 in line with this global trend and the movement of the Korean government.

Currently, the Department of International Korean Language Education offers a global atmosphere with both Korean and foreign students who want to become Korean language teachers. Students from all over the world take classes together and develop their knowledge as global citizens by hanging out together at various student events. In addition, the Department of International Korean Language Education is responsibly operating various subjects in major areas such as Korean culture, Korean literature, Korean grammar, and Korean language and Korean culture teaching methods to improve its ability as a Korean language teacher.
This course expects many students who are interested in spreading Korean culture and Korean to the world at home or abroad to participate together.

Employment status after graduation

• After graduation, you can obtain a Korean language teacher certificate (level 2 or level 3) issued by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism in recognition of the department's ability to cultivate professionals in Korean language education. Through this, you can work as a Korean language teacher who teaches foreigners at the following institutions.
• Korean language education institutions affiliated with domestic and foreign universities
• Domestic and foreign elementary, middle, and high schools with Korean language classes as foreign languages
